AFM got the results from DH's SA today, not good :( sperm count was 8.4 (should be over 20) and absolute count was 13.4 (should be over 40.9). So dr gave me men's multivitamins for him to take, next step is to make an appointment for DH to see dr and discuss his health etc, probably do another SA and go from there, so no D&C or HSG for me yet til we get this figured out. Mixed emotions, kinda relieved that its not all me that's causing the problem, but disappointed that I can't get the D&C and HSG yet, I was quite positive that having that would really help, clear me out for a fresh start. Also nervous cos I know dr is going to say DH needs to change his diet, exercise more and QUIT SMOKING and he's so lazy I'm worried he won't do it or stick to it and then I can't control that aspect so what if his sperm count doesn't improve and I can't get pregnant :( feeling pretty down about it now...

Please give me some advice ladies!

I'm late for the 25 day cycle I've been having since my MC in March. I'm late for the 26 day cycle I had last month. I'm late for my normal 27 day cycle. Yet I got a BFN when I tested this morning!!

What do I do? Consider myself out for this month? Wait and few more days and test again? Call my ob and talk to her?

I'm CD 29, supposedly 16 DPO. The DPO I'm not sure of, it's just the date the website assigned me.

@mrsrogers - I hope your DH is helpful/cooperative. I know how frustrating that can be... :-P

@rebecca - I would just keep waiting. Last cycle I was getting very hopeful that I might get a BFP because my cycle had not been over 37 days in over a year, but it ended up being a 57 day cycle! I was so bummed. It seemed to do it on purpose my second cycle TTC just to give me a hard time. lol

Skyline I had a 90 something day cycle my 2nd cycle ttc.

I just got the darkest opk I've ever gotten.

@athena - Ugh. My SIL just came off a 90 day cycle. I'm glad your getting a good pos! :)

@mrsrogers-I am sorry to hear that, but understand your relief that it isn't all you. Smoking does make a big difference and hopefully he will make the healthier decision for him to quit. His sperm count should increase from just that. DH would socially smoke and I would have let him he would have all the time. He finally quit last February after doing it for about six years. He mainly would smoke when he drank, like most people. He is SO happy he quit and is done with that. I hope your DH can make the best decision!

@Rebecca - I say to this to everyone on here who doesn't get their BFP at 9dpo (or whenever). My sister didn't ever get hers until closer to 17 dpo. She also just had to go in for blood work and that is where she finally got her positives. I have a friend who tested and tested when she thought she was pregnant and they were always negative. She already had two kids so being pregnant was't foreign to her. I think she was finally three months before she actually tested positive. So, I realize it's not too common, but it DOES happen. Maybe make an appointment .... you know your body best.

AFM-my bb's are so sore today. Because I haven't been calendaring or anything, I can't remember if this is normal. I am going to check back to my previous months and see if they normally hurt like this, for this long before AF. AF should be here early next week and then all my testing begins :)

Hello ladies, just checking in and trying to get caught up. So today is the day the website told me to test, this is the day my period would start (if it was perfectly on schedule). It did not. I haven't ever gotten my period in the afternoon, it always comes before noon. Anyway, the test gave me a . I am not convinced. If I get my period I will be convinced. Water tasted funny this morning, I don't know what it was but it was weird. And then this afternoon I got a bloody nose. I DO NOT get bloody noses. I've had a volley ball spiked in my face, hit me right in the nose. My nose did not break, did not bleed. I just don't get bloody noses. I decided to look up if it is a sign of pregnancy and sure enough it is. Something about the extra blood in your body pressing on some *insert long scientific name here* thing in your nose. I also have a bad headache today and have been feeling lightheaded. So I decided I will retest Sunday morning (if AF doesn't visit), and if it still says negative I will let my blood test next Friday tell me the truth.

@ Rebecca, I agree with what LSchrader said. I have a cousin in law who has tested negative with hpt's until 6 months along even though her blood work said different. This is another reason why I don't believe my from this morning. Being patient is so hard, I know. It's why I tested at 7 days, then again at 9, then again at 12. I just want the test to tell me what I feel I already know. Chin up, buttercup, we can do it!

Thanks @lschrader and @skyline :) I've already been researching foods that can supposedly increase sperm count, got H2B on men's multivitamins, we discussed an exercise regime last night, and he's taking Champix to help quit smoking. So he is on board thank goodness and knows how important that this is to me, and to us and our future babies! Go back to see fert dr next Tuesday and I'd like to ask for a re-test and see what that says, also ask about when I will be able to have the D&C and HSG done now.

@rebecca and @jandk when I was pregnant with my 1st I didn't get a positive HPT until I was nearly 8 weeks pregnant, even though my boobs were SO sore I could barely touch them so I knew I was pregnant. But, on the other hand I have had cycles up to 40 days long for no particular reason, had all the 'pregnancy' type symptoms but turned out to be just a long cycle. So who knows! Just go with your instincts, no one knows your body as well as you do. Good luck! xxx

I started last night. Looking at the calendar and counting the old fashioned way, yesterday should have been the day - if I'd been keeping track the way I did before I miscarried, I'd have known. But since then my periods have been 3 to 4 days earlier than usual.

Well, now I have to call the specialist and get my blood work and ultrasound scheduled. I'm so scared. I don't know which is worse...if she finds something, or if she doesn't.

Wish I wasn't in this position. Wish I was pregnant. But it wasn't my time.
