@lolee wow congrats! That is such lovely news, what an exciting adventure this will be for you! My niece is about 2 weeks away from having twin boys, I can't WAIT to meet my great nephews! :)

@rebecca the metallic taste in the mouth is a big pregnancy sign! Here's hoping its a good thing and you'll get a BFP this month :) :)

@ ants no I wasn't on anything they're thinking it's genetic since they run on both sides..

@ tiff I know they're separate with fraternal twins not sure bout identical though but it doesn't matter as long as we get 1

@lolee my son has two twin boys in his school class who, although they were separate sacs and therefore fraternal twins, they are absolutely identical! We can't tell them apart except for the mole on one of the boys eyebrows :) crazy! My great nephews are fraternal as well, but it'll be interesting to see if they come out looking alike or not! :) what an awesome thing for you that is just so exciting, twins would be an awesome blessing, although I'm not gonna get greedy I'll just be happy to get pregnant with 1 at the moment! Hahaha :)

Lolee fraternal twins are genetic, but it would have to come from the mothers side because there would be two eggs due to hyper ovulation. Identical twins on the other hand has no genetic connection as far as research goes because the egg splits. Congrats though two wonderful blessings. Twins run in my family though I was a twin but my mom miscarried my twin. I think two of my grandmothers siblings are twins. So I have always thought it would be cool to have twins, though if I did that would be it for us.

I found this.... Identical twins often share the same placenta, usually have separate amniotic sacs, and always have their own umbilical cords. Non identical twins have separate placentas, amniotic sacs, and umbilical cords.

AFM - I have some good news, not much, but I'm very pleased. For a long time I have not been able to observe having ewcm and I didn't know if it just wasn't there or if I was missing it somehow. Well, this cycle I finally had the egg white consistency cm and it was right when I thought I was ovulating. I've been eating according to my cycle phases for 3 weeks and I'm already feeling like this cycle has been regulated. I can't wait to see if AF comes on time!

@mrsrogers - thanks! Don't know what this is...never had it before, even with my other pregnancies. But I don't want to get my hopes too high. Had that happen too many times before and it takes me weeks to get on an even keel.

@lolee - my grandmother was a twin. I've prayed for years to be able to have twins, since it's so hard for me to carry to term for some reason, but so far God hasn't answered that prayer. It will be so exciting to follow your story.

@lolee, that is awesome, congrats!! My sister has fraternal twins! They are so much fun. Life would just be so boring without them! Yes, as people have said, fraternal twins is genetic and identical is simply a fluke. And it all comes from the lady!! Sorry guys, you have nothing to do with it :) Congrats and here's to a very healthy and happy 9 (or hopefully close to it) months. My sister delivered her's at 34 weeks. Her little boy was 5 pounds 8 oz and her sweet girl was 4 pounds 11 oz. They are now almost three years old and as healthy as can be!

@rebecca, looks like you just might be the next BFP! Metallic taste sounds very hopeful!
