No Sperm......

My partner and I have been ttc for 16 months now. He went for a SA and within 2 days had a phone call from thr dr to say they found no sperm, not 1, in his semen. He has to go again in April to see if there is any change or if they made a mistake. Has anyone been through this or similar? Really need some help on this

When i did my Stim cycle for IVF i had 6 over 21mm and a heap under 16mm they didnt bother with the smaller ones cause they rarely have mature eggs, I never really felt uncomfortable, but i would hate to have 20 or somthing!

Stillfun, that's still a lot! Lucky that it didn't cause too much pain. I know it would hurt me - I seem to be super sensitive to O pain when it's even just one follicle.

Fingers and toes crossed for you hoping!!! I really hope this is your cycle to get a BFP! Everything is lining up nicely for it to work.

I hope we get the timing right! I must be sensitive too to ovulation. these one or two make me feel like my pelvis is breaking in two!

Woohoo! 57 mill is great! How did the procedure go? I hope testing out the trigger makes your wait go by easier.

DH said he's ok with doing another IUI and with producing the sample in the office again so I think I will do another try this month. I'm unsure if I should do meds or not though. I feel like I'm just wasting my money doing an unmedicated IUI cycle, feel like I'm wasting time if I don't do anything except the TCM stuff, and worry about the side effects of a medicated cycle. I think I'm leaning to medicated though.

My DH is applying for two different out of town jobs right now - if he gets one of them it means that we will have to be apart for a bit while I finish up work here and get our house and everything sorted. So, I'm thinking I should give this cycle every chance I can because we are going to be apart and way busy if he takes one of these jobs.

Now if only AF would show so I can get on with it! At least I haven't had any spotting. BBT is slowly dropping though.

The procedure was fine. just a little spotting and cramping this afternoon. I really really hope our timing was ok. I think I Od overnight because cm was turning whitish and cervix was pointy. the insem was at 830 am so hopefully eggie(s) were still trucking along....

Hoping, I think you'd still be ok even if you O'ed overnight. I think you have 12 hours or so before the egg starts to degrade.

Only time will tell! But I am pretty sure I O'd on IUI day so I hope we get lucky first try

Arg, I don't know what to do this cycle! On another thread here, someone brought up thyroid issues, and I've been reading about things to look into before accepting an "unexplained infertility" diagnosis. I know there's something weird going on with me and I'm not feeling like IUI or even IVF is going to address it because of my health issues. Saw my GP today and she was no help whatsoever. From my own research, I think I've figured out that I've been overdosing on iron supplements to address my anemia, that is not actually being caused by lack of iron. My hematocrit and hemoglobin levels are really high, meaning that I'm getting enough iron, so the low ferritin (iron) level in my blood serum is the result of an inflammatory or auto-immune condition. Pisses me off that I have to do the research to figure this out, after she told me to take mega doses of iron for the last year.

If I'm going to do a medicated IUI this cycle, I have to start tomorrow, and I didn't get a chance to call the clinic today. Doubtful that I'll be able to talk to my RE tomorrow in time to get my prescription and start too, if I decide to go ahead.

I'm trying not to hate my body but it's so frustrating that it won't cooperate!
