smiles- Im the queen of consulting Google. I know I shouldn't but it makes me feel better. Like I'm in control.

still no AF for me. Waiting game now. if its more than a couple days late I'll test again, but I think I'm out.

edit: I gained 6lbs in a month. Thats not normal. What can that be?

Lolo1176: Regarding your vent. The TV thing I don't really prescribe to. The AAP does say to avoid TV until age 2 entirely, but my 11-month-old has never really paid attention to it. If there's a cool song on she'll turn her head to watch, but it's just in the background while she's doing other things. If she starts to pay attention more I'll keep it off more frequently. I don't watch much TV anyway.

The food thing I empathize with her more. The World Health Organization and American Academy of Pediatrics agree that breastfeeding exclusively, nothing else at all except vitamins, not even water, until age 6 months is the best way to go. Also, she's right, baby food does largely have a lot of extra sugar added. I made all, and I mean ALL of baby girl's baby food when she reached 6 months old until about 8.5 months. Not a single thing was processed. All was organic, GMO free, free range etc... The last couple of months I've loosened that standard. She gets organic pouches to feed herself, eats whatever happens to be served at other people's places, and I'm only about 75% organic at the house, blah, blah. However, she's only had like 7 bites of treats, ever, (ice cream, cookies, cake) total. My doc said if I could do it, breastfeed until 6 months without any supplementing. It worked out. He said to keep it up until a year for sure, no cow's milk or formula as an actual replacement and that's what I'm doing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against other types of parenting choices. I have a handful of friends who've done it this way, I also have tons of others who did formula exclusively, formula supplements, started feeding table food/baby food at 3 or 4 months. ALL of the babies are ok, thriving, no matter the circumstances.

Oh! I'm editing because I missed a point. Baby led weaning is a real thing. It's actually pretty awesome. I only sort-of did it with baby girl, but it's when they're around 6+ months and their dexterity is enough they can move things to their mouths. You give them mushy-ish or well-cooked foods and they feed themselves what they want. It's an amazing process. It really helps out with hand-eye coordination. It's messy as all hell, which is why I didn't do it full on, but babies really gain dexterity and confidence by feeding themselves. It's initiated some time after 6 months and when they can handle it. Some babies don't until they're almost a year. That said, it's really never happens before 6 months at all. It is very cool though.

What I would encourage is not to get pissed at her for her choices for her child. She's come to the feeding/TV conclusions based on the very best research available. How our parents did it back in the day is totally not okay in some circumstances, totally ok in others. But based on the fact that we have so much more information available now, we get to make different and/or better parenting choices now-a-days. For example, car seats, I still hear 55 - 60-year-old folks talking about letting their kids wander around their cars, no belts at age 2. Well... that's just not the standard anymore and there is a reason for it.

Just my 2 cents. I don't me to be confrontational though, so I hope you don't take it as such.

April 2015 babies....it's possible that I have a little one growing inside of me now! I am 10dpo and have gotten three very faint positives today...two in late morning (one FRER and one Wondfo) and one in the early evening (Wondfo). Ever since I bought the Wondfos...I feel like I can pee on a stick whenever I want because they're so cheap haha. I'm going to use my last FRER with FMU tomorrow so hopefully it'll be a darker line!!

Hey guys! Just checking in!

Congrats @Bumpin4Baby! That's awesome! Are you going to get a beta drawn at your doctor's office or just wait?

AFM, well, I should be 2 DPO if I ovulated on time. Any cycle buddies?

I am going on a girl's weekend this weekend and hopefully won't bring any tests, then when I get back on Sunday night that would put me at 8 DPO. I'm sure I will test then and keep testing. I have always I believe had a BFP by 10 DPO. So I should know by next Tuesday.
