Hi Ladies!

awebste:

Good luck to the ladies who are testing...hope we see more BFP's this month.

AFM: WOW! What a busy weekend!? Hope everyone else had a productive and fun weekend. DH & I started our EOD BD schedule on Friday. Still waiting for my +OPK. I am on CD15 and in the past couple of months I haven't seen a +OPK until CD16. So hopefully I will see it tomorrow. Even though I would be concerned for my friends feelings, I really do hope this is our month. Mostly because I don't know if we will get much of a chance next month. My DH's ex asked if we could take the kids for an extra long weekend and of course that lands on our fertile weekend. Hoping that if this isn't our month that ovulation timing stays the same then and doesn't suddenly come early next month...then we "might" still have a chance. But this is my month too!

Congrats awebste!

Today I am 6 DPO and like the dummy I am, I decided I would test.. Of course .. I am going to hold off until Friday and try again as I will be 10 DPO. I have been so irritable the last 2 days and have had some terrible dreams along with sore bb's, lots of CM, twinges, ect. Also, last week my husband, daughter and I went and ate at a local chinese resturant. When the waitress brought us our ticket and fortune cookies, she brought FOUR.. Hmm.. of course you already know what pops in my mind! I wish I could have just a tiny bit more patience..

Okay, everyone. I'm throwing my hat in the ring this month. I am set to ovulate on Saturday. DH and I met with our RE this morning and he told us to "get busy." I have been diagnosed with MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder, so I am taking a baby aspirin everyday and 4mg of folic (I am going to take folate though). So, if we get a BFP this cycle my EDD would be April 25.

I'm not really super excited about trying again after three losses. I have very tempered enthusiasm and my hope is rather deflated. But here I am. (-:

@WhileImWaiting Which version do you have? I haven't been to a doctor, but had genetic testing done and it turns out that I have the C677T mutation (Homozygous: - double mutation)

I've been reading a lot about it and there are some people who think that it has nothing to do with infertility/miscarriages while others think that it's one of the biggest unknown reason for both of them.

So far, I don't have any of the other issues (supposedly) associated with it but I've been taking 400 mcg of Folate and baby aspirin, daily, just in case.

Have you checked out this site? http://mthfr.net/ (Lots of info to read :))

JayneB: I saw this on the American Heart Association Journal

"There are certain implications of having elevated homocysteine that are specifically relevant for women. Elevated homocysteine levels have been observed more frequently among women with certain pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia (elevated blood pressure that can lead to dangerous consequences), placental abruption (where the placenta detaches from the uterus), recurrent pregnancy loss, and giving birth to a small, low-birth-weight baby (called intrauterine growth restriction).7 However, medical research suggests that elevated homocysteine levels may be a consequence of these complications, rather than the cause.

Hyperhomocysteinemia is observed more commonly among women who have a child with a neural tube defect (an abnormality of the fetal spine or brain). Neural tube defects include spina bifida (an opening in the fetal spine) and anencephaly (a severe birth defect in which the brain and skull do not form properly). Approximately 20% of women who have a child with a neural tube defect have abnormal homocysteine metabolism."

Not sure if this will help you out, too. But it sounds like you are taking all the proper steps.

@JayneB - I am heterozygous for C677T. Have you had any losses? I would talk to a RE or someone who is knowledgeable in MTHFR and pregnancy if I were you. (-:

Hello everyone! I am new to this website and this is my second month TTC. As of today I am only 2dpo and hoping this is our lucky month... If it is our EDD is 4-27-14. I never knew how torturous this "2 week wait was" until we started trying last month. I am considering going to buy a new book just to keep me busy and my anxious thoughts at bay! Good luck to everyone for BFP!
