Been at this a while...Private "Testers" Support G

Hey! So the "Testers" thread was getting way too big, and way too chaotic, so I decided to make this thread hidden away in the Long-Term board... Because I know a lot of us have been at this for a while and we had such a close knit group and I don't want to lose that. So if you ladies want to join me here, please do! Hope nobody is offended by my doing this, I just cannot keep up with the new folks and honestly a lot of them do not "get it" at all. :(

@afmedic: I hope your tww ends with a BFP!!! Over half way through!!

@blue: I hope you get your BFP too!

@holly: I am so glad you made the jump over here. I so sorry you didn't ovulate last cycle. I know how horrible that is. Hopefully the acu helps!!

@luv: I hope the temp rise is your prelude to BFP! Sorry your dh is complaining about money. That has gotta add a ton of undue pressure on you :( Sorry lady.

@law: Hey sweetums! I hope you are able to get some studying done. I got my dress but don't really like it... It's a black silly material on top and a black velvet on the bottom. It has some ruching (sp?) on the sides and goes to mid calf. It's very elegant but I just feel like a black manatee in it. No idea what I'll wear on my feet :(

Hello everyone :-) I know this is a private thread but it seems like this is the one I might wanna try to join. I'm 28, dh is 28 as well. We have been actively trying for 4 yrs but NTNP for 9 years and never been aware of a pregnancy. :-( ive had pcos for 10 yrs now so I knew even when I was young it would be difficult to concieve narurally and havent gotten it under control because my weight kept balloning. I went from 322 to 292 in this yr i just hope it continues to come down so we can start some medical intervention. I've been trying sooo long and I'm almost 30. I really wanted us to have a first child before 30 cause 35 will be my cutoff point it just will be too difficult for me and I would love atleast two and I wanted them few yrs apart. But at this point I will take twins or irish twins (less than yr apart) lol. Its getting very difficult now I know you ladies understand. Speacially when I'm a major support for my sis in law having a second baby already abd have to hear bout that a lot and eberyone I know falling pregnant before me is causing a lot of depression and stress. Its comforting knowing I'm not crazy or irrational for some of the ways I feel sometimes. Y sis complains alday 7 months is too long to try to concieve blah blah blah and going on and on she was only 22 and just came off 4 yrs iud nanything less tham year is good with that crsp. I want to scream at hwr try 4 plus long years hell try 10 then u can bitch all u want! S cuse my french. I'm trying to cbe positive BBC ut its getting more difficult everyday :-( good luck everyone we all need it

bluerose boo to the temp drop again but maybe you just have inconsistent temps? I think with winter it actually makes temps less consistent. I'm sure you are FREEZING up there too! It's below zero (fahrenheit) here. Yeesh.

lawbride yep 14 dpo :) Sadly the insurance doesn't cover much fertility although I think the HSG might at least be partially covered. I'll have to look into it. Insurance usually will cover tests but not treatments and I think the HSG qualifies as a "test." GL to you studying for your test!! What is the subject for the first test?

SMH yay for a dress! I'm sure you look super cute in it. I would recommend a flat shoe or a wedge, something comfy :) Yeah it's hard to hear DH complain about money, especially since I don't spend our money frivolously on anything. I don't dye my hair, get mani/pedis, get massages, buy clothes/shoes. Overall we are very frugal but I know men just hate feeling like they're "wasting" money on things that don't work like the IUIs have been. If I am pregnant this month it would be the best miracle ever.

cloud welcome, I hope we can help here! That is a very long time to be trying I am sorry :( Good job with the weight loss and I'm sure you can continue to lose weight! You have the ultimate motivation, especially with PCOS losing weight is the best thing you can do. I would recommend getting a trainer and a nutritionist if you have some extra Christmas money and get yourself a game plan. It is very doable to lose 10 lb a month :) Ugh it must be hard to have a SIL that is pregnant yet again and complaining about it. Does your family know what you've gone through? You are still very young (under 30 by a mile!) and you have plenty of time. Make yourself as healthy as possible and it will at least give you something to focus on besides everyone else getting pregnant (that's been my strategy for the last couple of months, I've lost around 20 lb and am finally back to a healthy weight after an early pregnancy loss last year made me gain 50 lb from being basically depressed).

AFM I think since DH is upset about spending money I will wait until 16 DPO to take another HPT, and then only if my temps are still high. I am seriously praying that it works out for me this month, but if not at least the HSG will make me feel more empowered. Not doing anything for NYE tonight, I will hit the sack early as I do every year ;) What are you lovely ladies up to tonight?

Luv--my hsg was covered under ob-gyn, they didn't treat it as fertility. Maybe you could go to your ob-gyn for it if that would help. The first test is federal income taxation, yuck!

Smh--I'm sure you'll look great! I love shoes, those are my favorite. I thought I looked kind of cute yesterday until I saw a picture with me in it. No pictures are allowed for a while. I did some makeup shopping online, that made me happy. I've been watching YouTube videos on makeup application when I should be studying...whoops.

Cloud--welcome! We would love to have you. Do you have a plan in place right now? Are you seeing a fertility specialist or have you seen one?

Hi ladies,

Luv, gl Hun! Plans...great to have plans right? Yes...the TWW...I'm ok though looking to get a plan of my own in a couple of weeks! Girllllll I spend on all the things you don't, LOL, but I would give them up for a little one! Sorry your hubby is feeling that way...hopefully he comes around. We are thinking of going to church tonight, but on the other hand feeling slightly icky I would be ok being home with my boo :) Plus my phone will start ringing probably at 11 cst as I have folks on the east coast to wish me a happy bday and happy new year. We will see...

Law, soooo glad I have you ladies! Not envious of your exams and paper, but so proud you are almost finished and that your LO is on the way ;) I am CD22 today so estimating (didn't temp or do OPKs) 4DPO. I think there's a bug going around soooo guess that's the issue with me?!

SMH, I bet you are going to look Beautiful!! Send us a pic ;)

Cloud, welcome! I hope you find great support here, it's a great group! Thanks for having sharing your story and please feel free to ask and vent and share as you want!

AFM, I'm good....home on the couch...lol. Wanted to start the new year off by working out tomorrow, but with my chest still sore I may have to wait :(

Law, I have a membership to Pur Baree, which I love. Hate cardio, but have to start doing more...pretty sure I will have to take a physical fitness test for the Army soon. Also looking at some yoga classes on post...increase my complete lack of flexibility ha ha. Just different options to switch around.

Holly- Glad you can join us! Your plan sounds great and I hope it will lead to positive things in 2014!!

Jada- Sorry you are feeling icky...Hopefully it is more then a big though=0)

Luv- So happy your temp went back up I hope that it a good thing. Sorry your hubby is worried about the financial side of things. My hubby gets the same way though I am lucky to not have to pay for as much things.

Law- No my daughter pretty much shares everything with our dogs. we have a pure bred German Shepard (mostly black) and a German Shepherd Husky mix. I think they are cute, a lot of people are afraid of them because they think they are attack or guard dogs, but they are nothing but big babies

Cloud- welcome to the group. The women here are wonderful!! I feel your pain with others being prego. No lie since I have been trying 8 of my husbands co-workers wives got prego, 7 of my friends and then not to mention I work in an OB clinic.

AFM- 9 dpo, I did not test today because I had a temp drop this morning, so I did not want to waist a test. My hubby works tonight so I am just spending the evening with my daughter, friend and her kids.

afmedic--I'm terrified of big dogs--I was bit by one in the 5th grade and haven't ever fully recovered from the fear it caused. :( So sad. I don't think we'll ever have pets.

JLH--pure barre sounds like fun. I'd love to try something like that. I've been doing pilates a few times a week--today was butt/thighs and it KILLED! Yowsa. haha
