Group for the BFPs

Hi, girls! I just wanted to create a group for all the BFPs we have gotten. There have been so many lately and i have gotten to know a lot of you and i don't want to go to another forum. I feel bad talking on other groups about my bfp when others are still trying. So I figured we could talk about things in here too! I am 6w5d today. I have a 2yr old dd and am 39 yrs old. Just starting to get a few symptoms and my eye is twitching out of control. Hope to hear from my other bfp friends!

I don't think there's anything wrong with feeling that way @Lakarmw. You've got a lot on your plate. And could you handle it on your own? Of course. But would it make your life much easier if he were around? Of course. My husband took his last trip this past weekend until after baby arrives. She's due November, I made it very clear that with my history of preterm labour and how I'm feeling now and what needs to be done around the house, I'm politely asking him to put a moratorium on out of town trips.
So I competely understand where you're coming from and I'd have a frank, but polite conversation about it with him. Maybe he will reconsider. If not, at least you'll feel better having voiced your feelings.

Well, i just wrote a whole page to Lakarmw but i tried to add an emoji and i couldnt scroll down to the end, hit the back button and lost it all. Only thing i dislike about this app.
Lakarmw, i would allow my bf to go but i would voice my opinion and why i feel this way. You cannot help your emotions and feelings. My bf has been a total stranger diring both pregnancies. I decided to not worry about him and enjoy my dd and pregnancy. He doesnt do ANYTHING. Never even touched my belly, havent had sex since conception, no appts, not even naming her.. I am thankful God gave me two healthy daughters and i do everything myself with a 2.5 yr old and 27wks. It is hard but rewarding. I hope you can work it out with him. Good luck.

Went to my 27w2d appt. Had my glucose test, which i loved the orange drink. Also had u/s to check my placenta. It has moved enough where a c section is not necessary. Ill have another u/s at 36 wks. She is healthy, 2lbs 11oz. Also, she looks so much like my dd! My appts are every 2 wks now as well.

@Kelliria. I enjoyed the glucose test as I drank a lot of orange pop as a kid. Plus people look at me funny when they hear I like it lol. Awesome pictures. I'm glad that the placenta has moved and you won't need a c-section. Thursday is my doctor's appointment and I get to undo that lovely test they do at 36 weeks. After that, I have an appointment every week.

@Lakarmw. My next scan is Sept 18 so I am hoping his one heart valve is working normally and that he won't need an ultrasound when he is born. I do worry about my friend as her specialist appointment is on the 17th and I'm really hoping she hears some good news rather than the bad.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am feeling better today, I think the antibiotics are working for the uti.....I still don't like that he's going one bit, I have spoken to him and he says if I truly don't want him to go he won't, but I know if be left feeling awful if he missed out too, so its a hard one, I think I will allow him to go, unless I start to feel worse again towards the end of the week, fingers crossed I won't.
Kelliria sorry to hear your bf has been a stranger :( I take it he's better once baby arrives, maybe he finds it very scary. Good luck with your glucose test so glad to hear your placenta has moved...that's fab news.
Dragonfly23 36 week appointment, wow you are so close now hope you're feeling ok. Good luck for your scan I will keep everything crossed for you xxxxx

Lakarmw, thank you! I you feel bad i would definitely tell him. Maybe you saying he has your blessing will ease things and he will decide not to go in the long run. Men are like toddlers sometimes! Lol.
Dragonfly, good luck on your next scan. Praying his valve fixes itself.
Very worried for my bestie. She lives 15 miles inland right smack in the middle of the hurricane path in a trailer. She doesnt have the money to evacuate so it will be her, sil, 10yr old neice and 3yr old daughter. They are boarding up their windows but are very scared. If everyone could say a little prayer they are safe, we would both appreciate it.
Everyone have a good day and take it easy!

Hey ladies! I just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes! I’m a little scared. I didn’t have it with DD1 but that was 18 yrs ago! I can’t get an appt with the diabetes clinic until next Thursday. Anyone else had GD? The whole link to stillbirth is freaking me right out.

Kelliria I will say a prayer for your friend and her family She must be so scared! And you're right men a definitely like toddlers. I actually feel ok about him going at the moment as im feeling better again now :)
All these 3d scan pictures are great, I'm not sure if to have one or not....you have to pay around £100 for the here so I'm not sure if it's worth it, as that money could be put to far better use I didn't have one with the other two kids.
Tryingafterloss sorry to hear you got gd. I haven't had it but my best friend did who I was pregnant with my first with had it, she was just advised what she could and couldn't eat, and to check her blood sugars after eating etc, she was lucky and managed to control it with diet, she had a lot closer monitoring than I did and extra scans to check babys size, and they induced her at 38 weeks so her baby didn't get too big, as it turned out she wasn't big at all really, and weighed less than my daughter Who was only 7lb1 but they'll monitor you closely now they know you have it xxx
