Group for the BFPs
Hi, girls! I just wanted to create a group for all the BFPs we have gotten. There have been so many lately and i have gotten to know a lot of you and i don't want to go to another forum. I feel bad talking on other groups about my bfp when others are still trying. So I figured we could talk about things in here too! I am 6w5d today. I have a 2yr old dd and am 39 yrs old. Just starting to get a few symptoms and my eye is twitching out of control. Hope to hear from my other bfp friends!

Hi, all! It has been awhile since ive got on here. Flamingo girl, YEA! A Valentine baby. Perfect gift. Congrats. She is beautiful.
I cant believe the rest of you ladies are so close. It wont be long. Who is the next baby to come?
I am doing well. Trying to get in a routine. I pump every 3 hrs (3,6,9,12 for 30 min) cause my milk is low. Reese is sleeping through the night but i am not. Lol. Plus, i went back to work this week and it is a whole different ballgame. I go on 4 hrs of sleep a day and i am a single mama 2 under 2, and full time working. I am doing it day by day. I'm getting used to it. I wouldnt have it any other way. Except a plentiful supply! Lol.

Hey ladies! Wow all this cuteness on this page
Calvingirl - Can’t believe she is 2months already.
Flamingogirl she is precious. Way to go on delivery. I did the same with my last child (not welling ) he just came so fast no time for anything. I plan to do the same this time around if my body lets me.
I’m not sure who is next but Finishing up my 2nd trimester this week. Seems to be going faster ....WHY?? My husband is so glued to my belly these days. I will tell him ....hurry he is moving and as soon as daddy touches belly he stops LOL, so he said he gots night night time he will be able to put him to sleep with just a touch. We shall see

I had my obgyn appointment today and was told I had abnormal reading on glucose test guess I failed it bc now this Thursday they want me to do the 3hr glucose test. I am soooo nervous can anyone help you on what they look for or how I would feel? Never done this? Then telling me baby could be big? Possibly Early labor?

@Beaut1ful38: Don’t worry! The same thing happened to me with the previous pregnancy.
I had the elevated levels after the glucose test and then I had to do the 3 hour glucose test. They just measure the levels over a longer period of time. Sitting there for 3 hours wasn’t fun lol , but I passed it!
I’ve heard it’s pretty common to fail the glucose test. I think that in my case I was drinking more teas with sugar and was having onion syrup (with sugar) for the bug (cold?) I had (I wanted to avoid any medication) and I had more sugar before the first glucose test than typically which might have been the reason for the elevated levels... But everything turned out to be normal!
And my boy was not bigger. He was a normal size. He wasn’t born preterm either. It’ll be all good!

Well I was told I have gestational diabetes. I left doctors office with the machine that checks sugar levels. I have to do it 4x a day. Right when I wake up and then 2 hrs after every meal. March 29 is my ultrasound they will measure baby. I just want to know if this means baby will be bigger and will I have him early and c- section or vaginally???

Beaut1ful38 - I had gestational diabetes too, and no, it doesn't mean baby will be too big. My Phoebe was only 5lbs, 13 oz at 37 weeks and that's small for gestational age. What it means is that they will monitor you closely, nag you if your sugars go up, and will have to test the baby every couple of hours with a heel prick after he/she is born for 24 hrs. If baby drops, then they want to keep you more - ugh! So, either BF ALOT after baby comes out - like have her attached as much as possible, or consent to some formula feeding to keep her blood sugar up so they don't keep you there too long. I don't know if you are planning on bf'ing or not. I was going to exclusively bf, but life had other plans and Phoebe gets formula bottles during the day since I can't pump enough to feed her. I found the GD diet they put you on is pretty reasonable - you usually can control your sugars by just avoiding desserts and crappy food. I let them get in my head about it, and I tested obsessively and was so freaked out about it that I was afraid to eat and fainted once. Don't let that happen. Big picture - you and baby are going to be just fine. You are so close to the end anyway, it's not a big deal. Bonus, I kept pretty close to the diet they wanted me on and I didn't gain much pregnancy weight at all - and I felt great. Every time I'd cheat and my sugars would go up, I'd feel like crap - tired and nauseous with a headache. You'll find it's nice to know how to control your energy levels that way. Good luck! Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I was diagnoses at 24 wks, so had it for a looonnnngg time. Felt like forever I was pricking myself.
