Wannabe May Mommies WMM

Hi ladies, I was in the Wannabe March Moms thread and I think there were 4 or so lucky ladies who got their BFP but alot more of us who got BFN. So here's hoping for August or September BFPs which will bring us May babies!

A little about me: I'm 35, from Australia, TTC first baby since mc in March. Just bought a fertility monitor so hoping it's worth the $ because I hate OPKs, haven't started charting yet but will consider it soon.

Join this thread if you WMM too!!!

Leah I am so happy for you, all the more because you've suffered loss. Tell your baby to call his friends for us!!

Are you girls completely off caffeine? Alcohol?

Hi @mrscmi the clear blue digi work differently to the OPK dip sticks. They measure 2 hormones and the balance between them and so you do need to use FMU. Same for the fertility monitor which I've been using for the last couple of months. However, I still use OPKs in the afternoon too as my peak goes fron nothing to peak & back down again in lightening quick time! Lol!

I'm CD 11 today & hoping for a 'high' reading in the next day or so and 'peak' in a couple of days so it's busy busy busy!!!!

Fingers & toes crossed and baby dust to everyone!!!

Good morning ladies! Good luck to those who are in their TWW! for you!

I'm getting ready to O sometime this weekend and I'm really hoping that this is our month. I'd love a May baby! I know there's nothing wrong with a June, July or August birth but I live in Florida and it gets so darn hot in those months that I just think it would be miserable to be super preggo at that time of the year. That said, if I get a BFN this month, we'll still be trying and I'll be thrilled with a June, July or August baby

@magenta I'm not completely off caffeine but I drink it much more sparingly than I used to. I quit drinking coffee and I only drink soda if we go out for pizza or burgers or something. As for alcohol, I'll have a mixed drink here and there if we go out and I'm not on my TWW. I know that's probably being overly cautious but I'm not a big drinker anyway so I didn't really have to change much about those habit.

What about you?

I am down to 2 cups of coffee a day and no other caffeine sources :) Which is a huge progress for me cuz I used to drink anywhere from 4-6 cups a day. I never drank soda tho.

I have a question that I am hoping one of you ladies can answer. I started a thread on it but no one else has answered yet. I was wondering if anyone knows the ideal BODY FAT percentage that a woman should be when trying to conceive? Or if someone could ask there OBGYN next time they go... I know the ideal BMI, but BMI and body fat percentage are two very different things for some people.
For instance, my BMI is over 31 but my body fat percentage is only 25%. I am overweight (I weigh 192) but surprisingly healthy (lol those are the exact words my OBGYN used when I MC, "Wow, its amazing how healthy you are considering you weigh more than you should." Gee thanks Doc...). Anyway, I would appreciate some info on this.

Good morning ladies (at least morning in NYC)!!!

@ Tiffanityree Hey girl- I have def been reading into SMEP and it seems to make sense to me- I hope between preseed/ SMEP/ OPKs it works!!

@ rowanbud- Thank you for the clarification about the CB digi. Started today with FMU CD6. Fx for this cycle, and GL to you as well! We'll see how these next few cycles go- then I may be more interested in the monitor.

@ magenta- I'm still drinking 2 small cups coffee in the morning, and have completely stopped drinking soda. I'm prepared to completely cut out the coffee when I see the BFP (and deal with caffeine withdrawl headache).

I actually told DH that is why we needed to buy pregnancy tests before I miss my period. The earlier I know, the quicker I make the best choices for our future baby.

As for alcohol, I'll have a few drinks on weekend/with friends leading up to O. When I'm in TWW try to limit to one drink.

I hope all of you are having a great day

Hello all! I am new here but not new to TTC. I am 32 and DH is 24 (yes I know, I am a cougar!) :-) He is wonderful though and acts older than I do! Lol. We having been TTC for 14 months and I am beginning to think I'm not meant to be a mommy. It is devastating month after month of trying and being hopeful and AF rearing her ugly head every time. But maybe just maybe this will be the month? I am trying so hard to do everything right- no caffeine, limited alcohol; taking my folic acid and multivitamin everyday, etc. I have been using an ovulation calendar (from Webmd) and I started using the CB Easy digital OPK's a few months ago. I am 9 dpo today and not really having much pregnancy 'symptoms'. BB's a little sore but not bad and some mild cramping- all which point more towards AF than a precious baby. Saying prayers for all of us!!

Hello everyone! I am 1 DPO today, this is my second month TTC. Last month was my first month after stopping BC and I did not have a regular cycle, AF was a few days late and I think I Od late. This month though AF was right on time and Od on time. I got a positive OPK on sunday after having a temp drop that day, then yesterday I had ovulation cramps, EWCM and this morning I had my BBT spike back up and OPKs back to negative. DH and I did a lot of BDing the last few days, so I am hoping this works.
Also I do not drink any caffeine or alcohol, I have also been trying to eat better, and not exercise as hard.
I've been reading a few TTC books and they all reiterate that you should change your diet as if you would when pregnant, so I am trying my best.
(the books are on kindle online) I found them pretty good if anybody is interested, one of them is called Making Babies and it is a 3 month plan to try to get pregnant or determine why you may not be getting pregnant, the other one is called the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant (this one will make you giggle a bit).
Good luck to everyone, now on to the TWW, gotta find some distractions so I don't drive myself crazy...

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and new to the whole forum thing (so please bare with me on abbreviated terms and such) My DH and I have been trying on and off for almost three years. We both are 31. He has a wonderful 13 yr old dd. We did very little fertility treatments (due to cost) right after we got married. I have endometriosis, pcos, and one ovary. I got referred to a RE because I wasn't ovulating and when I don't ovulate I bleed constantly until I get my body regulated. I just started to temp and my chart says I am 3 dpo...but my body says 9 or 10 dpo (if that makes any sense). I feel like I have no clue what I am doing and if I am doing it right. lol...I think it would be really cool to be a May momma cause both DH and I have May birthdays (14 hours apart) and had our first baby bath together lol...I am having some symptoms nausea, bbs are very sore, and very vivid dreams...I guess we will see...

to everyone
