Wannabe May Mommies WMM

Hi ladies, I was in the Wannabe March Moms thread and I think there were 4 or so lucky ladies who got their BFP but alot more of us who got BFN. So here's hoping for August or September BFPs which will bring us May babies!

A little about me: I'm 35, from Australia, TTC first baby since mc in March. Just bought a fertility monitor so hoping it's worth the $ because I hate OPKs, haven't started charting yet but will consider it soon.

Join this thread if you WMM too!!!

Well thanks girls for all the advice and support. The days are crawling by and we haven't told anyone yet. Going to a family function tonight and hoping my sister doesn't ask me directly as she tends to do everytime I see her "are you pregnant yet?". Think I'll tell my bff when I see her next week. We had a mc a week apart in March but she'll be happy for me as she's decided to postpone TTC until next year. My sister in law went in for IVF yesterday so she may be pregnant too soon.

I havent gone to the doctor yet to have hcg test but have made an appmt w my obgyn for my first scan, not until October 16!! And they booked my 12 week down syndrome and other abnormalities screen- do you all do that too in your countries?

I am checking this thread every other day hoping for BFPs for you ladies!

Hey ladies! The DH did exactly as I suspected and walked right to the pregnancy test! He stood there a second, turned back at me then back to the test.... Then did like 5 fish out of water jumps toward me and kissed me.

His Dallas Cowboys also won against the NY Giants, so he was on cloud 9! THEN.... He went into scared mode... He looked at me and said: "Babe, what if I'm not a good dad?" I reassured he would be and within 5 seconds he grabbed our dogs and said y'all are going to be big sisters and daddy is gonna be a real daddy!

On another note.... I have been walking up extremely early lately! Like 4am-5am?? I usually don't wake up till about 9am-10... Anybody else doing this?

I'm pulling for you girls!! May more come!!

kgrady that's adorable! You guys sound so happy and that's wonderful. Congrats again

magenta I have a funny story for you- last year when we got our bfp we were gonna wait a few weeks to tell anyone. Well, I love good beer, and my sisters in law invited me to go somewhere and hang out, eat, etc. We get there and the waitress says that they have Fat Tire, which is one of my favorite beers. So my sister in law orders one and then they both look at me, expecting me to order one too. I order a water and the waitress walks away. I see both of them looking at me suspiciously. It was pretty funny!

I'm pretty positive I'm out this cycle. I am very crampy and my bbs hurt pretty badly. I posted my hpt that I mentioned looked like a very very faint bfp or an evap:

http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test-gallery/image.php?galleryid=51321

Looks like an evap to me! So I'm not trusting it. Besides it's a blue dye and I heard iffy things about them. Plus, I could only be 6dpo. Still not so sure. If I'm 11dpo, then I should be getting a bfp I would think!

Anyway, hope everybody is having a great day!

Christa

Aaaaaaaand I'm out. Came 3 days late which never happens! Clearly a sign that I need to stop stressing out about this.

Kgrady that is the cutest story and your husband sounds like a sweetie. My hubby was really worried about being a dad too and he's awesome. I think it's a good sign when they're worried - means they care deeply about getting it right.

Christa - we're in a cabin in the woods with spotty reception so i doubt i can pull yr hpt pic but my fingers are still crossed for you. Keep us updated.

See some of you ladies on the june board and congrats to everyone else!!!!

I took another one this morning and was BFN so that's most definitely an evap. Just waiting on AF now! I'm not upset though; this is the first month we're back ttc so we will just start again in a couple of weeks.

How is everyone else doing today? GrantsMama, I will see you on the June thread! We can be cycle buddies because mine is due on Sunday.

Yay! I'd love to be your CB Christa! Hopefully we'll have some of this amazing May board luck over in the June board. I'm going to start trying opks this mo and see if that makes any difference.

Hi ladies, just checking in - 13dpo today and still no AF (always shows up by now so either I calculated O wrong this cycle, which CTP seems to think so but fertility friend doesn't - yes, I chart in two places because I'm just that crazy) OR... I dare not even think I might be pregnant. In portugal right now with only one hpt left so I'm trying to hold off as long as possible on testing. Already tested yesterday and got a BFN. So we'll see.

I can't even rely on my temps cause I'm sure the time change and lack of sleep on the plane might throw it all off and I didn't bother to even take my temp on what would have been my normal time this morning since I was in the middle of waiting for a connecting flight and the number wouldn't have meant anything.

I want my BFP this month SOOOO bad... I mean I want it every month, but it's our 5 year anniversary next week and how cool of a present would that be??

Aww I'm sorry to hear that Grantsmama! Wishing you lots of luck for a June baby!

el keep us posted!!!

Well I'm 14 dpo and have had positives getting darker every day since 11 dpo. I'm trying not to get too excited because I've had two friends lose babies at 6 and 7 weeks in the last 6 months. Just trying to take things one day at a time. I told my DH I was going to confirm with a digital test today or tomorrow and his response was "so when do you plan to stop testing?"

That's funny Charlotte! My husband always accuses me of wasting hpts. lol He's always telling me I "beat a dead horse" or whatever. I just wanna see two lines, can he really blame me?

Anywho, I'm due for AF tomorrow and I'm very crampy today. Looks like it's gonna happen, and I'll be shooting for June. Maybe if I wait another couple months, I can have an August baby like I am :) But who wants to wait?

Hope everyone is having a great day and a wonderful weekend!
