Private Testers Support Group Part 5!

Old thread got ginormous so here's a new one!

bluerose sorry about spotting hun :( At least you get to see the GYN and hopefully get a plan in place! You've been waiting too long for baby #2.

janise thanks for the response, yeah I know very little about whether HCG actually increases odds of pregnancy. Maybe I will do some googling :) How you feeling today?

Cam wow good for you finishing that run! 4 miles is a lot especially if you don't do it very often. Throwing up is never a pleasant experience though ;) But it is badass!

AFM CD 12, temps are nice and normal levels of low. My chart looks great this month, after looking horrific last month. Go figure! Getting lunch today with my newly-pregnant friend. I feel ready to see her now. FX that I don't do something embarrassing like burst into tears ;)

Morning ladies!

Jada: I was asking myself where I was too. I was so out of it yesterday...allergies. I know you will do well on your midterm. Caring for the elderly is no cake-walk. You'll best believe it. More often than not the majority of strength remains in their mouthâ?¦they don't mince words. They tell it as they see it and then some. It takes every ounce of your patience. You'll manage...don't worry.

Cam: Darn! Those field trips are expensive. Glad you got your hair done! Hope you won't be "irritated" by AF for much longer.

Luv: So good that you are feeling better. It was only yesterday my co-workers and I were comparing salads at lunch. One said she loves Wendy's apple pecanâ?¦think I'll try it. Loved your itroduction of the group by the way!

Blue: Happy the bleeding was light and the procedure wasnâ??t too traumatic. About yesterday's dinner...sounded like something worth getting fat over. Best wishes for a nice strong O! Catch the eggy!

2Frsty: When my DH has to work out of town it's usually no more than three or four nights at a time and usually I feel lost. I cannot imagine what you are feeling just now. Have you thought about what you will do to occupy your time when he's gone? Any projects?

Bumpin: Welcome to our ttc family.

AFM: Took two anti-histamines early last night and was out like a light! Sinuses are acting up. Aside...I'm good. Just waiting...wicked TWW. As for the symptoms...same as they always are...no clues to anything. So, I'm paying them no mind!

Hmmm...is there a new thread that I don't know about? Or is the board just quiet?

bluerose we are not sure about the FB announcement yet, probably something simple! DH still has NOT called his insane sister so we haven't announced anything yet. Bah. How are you doing today?

JLH you are a saint! Get those BDs in too :) Also I am dying to try the broccoli cheddar baked potato. I had a loaded baked potato at a steakhouse last night and I almost climaxed, LOL.

Cam holy crap that is a pricey field trip! And already looking at colleges?! Wowza. That college should be paying for the trip, they are obviously trying to seriously recruit kids young! Sorry AF is sucking :( Squishy is doing well, being a bit naughty here and there (making me sick) but that is what kids do I suppose!

Bumpin how you feeling today??

janise hey girl! Yes you should try that salad :) I would probably have liked it better without chicken though. Not a fan of chicken on most salads. Sorry your sinuses are acting up! I have heard that a lot from folks. Must be lots of allergens or something floating around out there. I think it's just quiet on the thread because of the weekend :)

AFM not much going on, really. DH is gonna be working on crown molding today in the living room, and I know he's gonna want me to help him put it up, but it's tough! Standing on a ladder doing what basically amounts to isometric shoulder work is not something women are built to do :-P He needs to get a guy friend. LOL. Going out for coffee with a friend this afternoon, it's the first time we've gotten coffee since I got pregnant and I want to be super sensitive. She has wanted a baby for 7 years but her husband is nearly sterile, so they're trying for adoption and have been for a year and a half. IVF was an option for them but they didn't want to do it, but frankly I would rather go through IVF than the uncertainty of adoption, especially since adoption costs about twice as much as IVF. Not to say that their choice is "wrong" just that I feel terrible for them having to go through all this.

@luv- I take it he is avoiding calling nis insane sister? Haha. I hope coffee with your friend goes well. Adoption makes me sad. So many children need loving homes but yet it's such a long and expensive process. Hopefully they don't have too much longer of a wait.

@cam- good luck with your 16 hr shift! That's a long day :(.

@janise- I've been pounding the advil for my sinuses. And i bought some clariton nasal spray yesterday as well. I think i am allergic to harvest time. I hope your ease up! Have a good Saturday!

We went out to the next casino in the area with some friends who left their son at home with a babysitter for the first time. He's just about 11 months old. So they were due for some time out together. Today i am having some wicked uterus/ovary cramping. Like flop around in bed kind of pain and i had taken two advil this morning for my nose. I don't have a fever or anything. So i am not sure whats going on. Its eased up some now. Hoping it goes away soon. I don't want to have to make a trip to the er to have things checked out. :(

Thankfully the cramping has died down! Just mild cramps every now and then now.

Blue: happy to hear you are feeling better. Maybe the cramping was ovulation? Or was it more central?

Hi ladies. I am so sorry for being away from everyone for so long. Truth be told, I haven't really been conversational with anyone.

Well...he's gone. I dropped him off at the gym on West Fort Hood last night at 9:00, and they let the families stay until they loaded the busses. I was the last wife there, and watched the busses roll out at about 2 minutes before 11:00. And as I walked to my car with a pit in the bottom of my stomach, I heard Taps being played at 11:00 over the loud speakers. They play it every night, but last night I have to say it did NOT help my mood. My Mom stayed with me, and I spent the whole day with her and my sister's family. No one bugged me about how I was feeling; I guess the beauty of living in a family where almost every one of us has served in one branch of military or the other is that everyone knows how I'm feeling, and they know I'll talk about it when I'm ready. Truthfully, I don't feel all that different yet. It's almost like it's no different from any other field training exercise. But it is. He boarded the plane and took off from Dallas at noon - a 14 hour non-stop flight to Seoul, Korea. I still haven't heard from him; I'm expecting to hear something in the wee hours of the night.

How is everyone doing? Bumpin' I'm so glad you're here with us. How ya feeling??
