Private Testers Support Group Part 5!

Old thread got ginormous so here's a new one!

bluerose sorry about spotting hun :( At least you get to see the GYN and hopefully get a plan in place! You've been waiting too long for baby #2.

janise thanks for the response, yeah I know very little about whether HCG actually increases odds of pregnancy. Maybe I will do some googling :) How you feeling today?

Cam wow good for you finishing that run! 4 miles is a lot especially if you don't do it very often. Throwing up is never a pleasant experience though ;) But it is badass!

AFM CD 12, temps are nice and normal levels of low. My chart looks great this month, after looking horrific last month. Go figure! Getting lunch today with my newly-pregnant friend. I feel ready to see her now. FX that I don't do something embarrassing like burst into tears ;)

bluerose FX that you get some good news! At any rate, your right tube will be super wide open now for a few months :) That can only help!

Cam so sorry about AF :( I think the HSG is a good idea! If it turns out your tube is blocked do you know what you'd decide to do? I know IVF is a good option in that case but I'm not sure what else can be done. Maybe tubal surgery? Of course I am being hypothetical, I am sure your tube is glorious :)

Good morning to all the ladies!

AFM felt better (less sick) last night than I have in weeks! DH called his mom to tell her the news and she was very happy for us! Thank god, haha. Had no idea how she'd react because she had never mentioned wanting grandkids, turns out she just didn't want to nag us haha. DH still has to call his insane sister. He was not up for THAT conversation last night. Hopefully he will do it tonight! Besides all that, not much going on in LuvLand. I have a client today and afterward I might get myself a giant salad, if I feel like it :)

@luv- Yes, I am very thankful that at least the right tube is working! Glad to hear you are feeling better. Aww, that's actually very nice of you dh's mom! I no longer ask people when they are going to have kids since we have had trouble ttc. I HATE when people ask when/if we are going to have more. It hurts and I always stumble with what to say. I don't really want to say "we've been trying for almost 2 years and obviously failing!" I hope his insane sister takes the news well and is happy for you guys! It's amazing news!

Cd 12, I think the bleeding from my hsg has pretty much stopped now. Excited to get some bding in and hope for the best this cycle!I do have some ewcm mixed with some pink blood. But I am guessing it's not due to ovulation and moreso due to trauma/oil yesterday. I am going to make my family fat today lol. I have a venison roast with potatoes and carrots in the slower cooker. Will probably grab some corn on the cob from the garden. And am planning on making a pumpkin cheesecake for dessert!

HI! I hope you guys don't mind if I join in. I am active on a couple of other forums, but anxious to get to know some new girls.

Here is a little back story:

I am 26 and DH is 29. We have been married for 5 1/2 years and together 9. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in the 3rd stage. I was told that it wouldn't be likely that I would carry a child full term. I was devestated bc I have always loved kids and wanted 2 of my own. I had multiple surgies to remove the cancer from my cervix, which in turn made it very fragile. I was told that if it had been a hair closer to my skin cells, it would have spread rapidly and would have had to do chemo and radiation. Thankfully, all the cancer had been removed by surgery. When I turned 21, my DH and I got married, then just 6 months later found out we were pg at my yearly pap exam!!! We have one beautiful daughter who turned 4 in July.

Now, here we are 6 months of TTC. I got pregnant in July and had a MC at 7 weeks and 2 days. We were so devestated and our dreams were crushed. It passed naturally, so no D&C was required. We still haven't told our daughter that we miscarried so she still tells everyone that she is going to be a big sister. We didn't tell her bc we didn't want to put her on an emotional roller coaster if we fell pg right away.

My OB suggested I wait 3 cycles to TTC again. Everything I have researched says there is no medical reason to wait so we have already started again. I thought I had O on the 10th bc I had an abundance of EWCM and had typical O pain. That would put me at 15 DPO today and I am still testing BFN. Since I don't temp or use OPKs, I could very possibly be off on my O day. I hope so anyway. I had light spotting one time when I wiped Monday night after BD and once when I wiped on Tuesday but nothing but creamy Cm since. Not knowing when to expect AF is driving me bonkers..

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL & sorry for the incredibly long post!

bluerose totally agree about not asking people about TTC! It's the kind of thing that lots of people have to go through to "get it." (Including me!) So it is kind of amazing when people "get it" without having to be told haha ;) Glad you are feeling better after the HSG, and holy crap your dinner sounds amazing! Put some in a box and mail it down here, LOL! ;)

Bumpin nice to meet you! Sounds like you have been through a lot. It is good that you at least know that you can get pregnant! Did they say whether the cervix issues caused the MC? I can't imagine how hard that would be. At least you have one child so you know that cervix can do the job haha :) We are glad to have you but I feel I must "warn you" (heh) that we are a closeknit group who have been at this for all eternity, we don't even bother symptom-spotting anymore so we are more about the talking/support than about the "get me through the TWW" threads. Not saying this to discourage you, just so you know what you're getting into ;) We do occasionally get new folks, 2Frsty is fairly new as well! We like new blood! As for my story, I tried for 21 months (mild male factor and possible thin lining on my part), finally got pregnant on my 7th medicated IUI cycle. Now I am 12 weeks with my first (probably only, haha) child and am sticking around the boards to support my girls here! And because they are totally awesome and we have become great friends :) Welcome again! Join in the convo. bluerose just posted some awesome "food porn" LMAO!

AFM had a great training session with my client, then got lunch at Wendys. Had a lovely apple pecan chicken salad and a lovely baked potato! I had never tried either item but let me tell you, WOW. I will have to get those baked potatoes more often. I will try every flavor. Hoping to make DH call his insane sister tonight so we can get that the hell over with and then I can really go public...like "facebook public" haha. Hope all you girls are doing well!

@Bumpin4Baby_ Welcome!! I think Luv did a fantastic job at introducing you to the group! I am so sorry to hear about all you have been through. That must have been so scary. Thankfully you were able to carry a child! And hopefully you will again soon. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage as well :(. I can understand how hard that can be to deal with (had one at 8 weeks in may 2013). I also didn't wait to start trying again. I had heard that you are super fertile after a miscarriage.

A little about me. I have a son who was born in April 2008. We started trying for another in December 2012. Currently on cd 12 of cycle 21. Both my man and I have had all the blood work done, he had a semen analysis, I had an ultrasound. Everything seems to be ok. But here we are on cycle #21. So I went for an hsg yesterday.

@luv- I think I have only been to Wendy's once a long time ago. Maybe I should try it again! Do you have any exciting ways of telling Facebook you are expecting!? I have seen some creative announcements. Like a picture of a husband and wife holding a jar of preggo. And my friend took a picture of her, her husbands and little tiny baby shows and a sign saying "baby due in November".

Hi ladies!!

Blue, happy you made it through the HSG and hope the docs come up with a great plan!

Luv, I used to get the broccoli cheddar potatoe and I also like the sour cream and chive ;) Glad you're feeling better and that y'all had a great response from your MIL. Can't wait to hear how it went with the SIL!!

Gm my ladies. My anniversary was not even mentioned boooo my hubby said our anniversary is Jan 4 which he means the wedding. Men states that we celebrate everything lol but I didn't fret. I did get my hair done and yes Jada it's fly lol.
Welcome bumpin4baby
Luv I love Wendy's salads How's squishy?
Frsty Heyyyy sweets how are you I know it's getting close now.
Blue I hope that hsg blew those tubes open so that this will be your cycle.
Jan how are you feeling I hope your tww is going by quickly for you with positive results.
Jada best wishes on your midterm and yes I believe you being prepared my dear friend but you will come out better for it. I hope you caught that eggy Sweet Pea.
I'm being lazy and I'll get up in about 2 hrs and do some school work. Af is doing what she does best. ..... irritate me. My 8th grader is on a field trip at the court house today I can't wait to hear how that went plus she has a field trip coming up in Marchthat costs 400 she will go on a college tour....I didn't know they do this in the 8th grade. My 6th grader has a field trip that cost 200 she's going to St Augustin to look at some historical sites. ..... whatever.

@Camasia- Are all field trips that expensive!? My son has only been on one so far but it cost like $10 for the zoo and ice cream after. At least you had "fly" hair (is that even how I use that expression? lol) for your anniversary even though you didn't get to celebrate.
Hope af doesn't last too long!

@JLHart22- Thanks I hope so too! Get lots of bding in!! I think we are fairly close to the same spot in our cycles. I bet it's tiring caring for you MIL. We have a lot of respite patients at work so that families can have a break.

Cd 13, I am going to run to town and once again hope my ovulation strips are in to help me out over the next few days. I should stop ordering them from China. It takes a long time to get here. lol
