Ah... waiting to be surprised. That is my life right now.

I am on CD28 and just waiting, especially since I'm not sure when to expect AF. Ironically I think that I've thought more about TTC more the past couple of days than I have all month! The neurotic obsesser in me wanted to POAS this morning but I quickly countered that feeling, calmed my nerves and walked out of the bathroom. Hooray me!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hey all you 70's girls, thought i would give you all an update on where things are for me, but first things first;

MM; I had 2 mirena over 8 years and so was unaware of what my body was up to, then I had it out last year and I experienced so many symtoms I have never had in the past, PMS most noticeable, sore breasts, hot flushes, nausea, and tiredness, never felt any of these in my 30s before I had the mirena. It was strange that everytime I have been pregnant in the last year I have less pregnancy symptoms than when I am not! Our bodies are changing but I think we become so much more aware of what they are doing when we are hoping for a pregnancy.

Hopeful: sorry you didnt get a BFP but every month is a fresh oppurtunity.

Destiny: fingers crossed for a BFP soon, I hope to hold off testing but not sure if I can!!

Maece: have you tested yet??

Lisserb: our shinning star leading the way, hope you are well and that little one is making a cosy home.

afm: well my pregnnacy officially came to an end last wednesday, passed everything myself with no medication or D&C needed-yay. had a scan on friday which confirmed an empty uterus, and a pregnancy test this morning is looking less positive, funny to be hoping to see one line???

My results from the fertility specialist are back, my AMH is 0.57 which is low but good for my age, my partners sperm is fabulous. He said at my age there are more poor quality eggs than good but feels encouraged that i will strike a good egg that will give me a healthy baby. I am still booked for a hystoroscopy to check my uterus as I have very little bleeding during my period, but he thinks it is unlikely to be a problem as my lining was healthy in this last pregnancy. he encouraged me to try again asap so thats my plan.

So I am just waiting for things to settle now cant ovulate until there is no more hcg so praying for a BFN!!! Looking forward to the rigours of the TWW with you all if there is anyone left!

The thing i am left with after all of this is we might be older but we are by no means out, the journey may be harder but we are still in the running (or perhaps walking), women have become pregnant in their 40s since forever, and I am hopefull that we will be in that group soon.

I've got PINKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!

Yeah yeah... I caved.

My husband pressured me to test after I told him that I was feeling really crampy like I was about to come on my cycle. Which I do...crampy, lower back achy, and bloated.

I POAS with 6pm afterwork diluted urine and got a faint (but undeniable) !!

I'm going to retest in the morning to see if its darker. After the chemical, its more of an assurance than anything. Even though this faint line is still darker than the one I had during the chemical/mc I had a couple months ago, I'm happy ... but cautious.

STICK BABY STICK!!!!!

I know my 70s sisters should remember the infamous scene from the Charlie Brown comics where Lucy always snatches the football away when poor Charlie runs to kick it? Oh, I understand it all too well. Just call me Charlie.

BFN this morning. I guess its another chemical....this is the exact same thing that happened in December. Got a faint BFP w/afternoon urine, then FMU BFN. Only then i was in denial and confused, blamed it on the tests, took another HPT to get another faint(er) BFP, went to the doc for bloodwork and then mc a week later. This time I'm not buying into that cat and mouse game. It is what it is...but I tell you what--the next time I'm not celebrating a "BFP" for a long while next time.

(Updated: I went back and looked at the stupid thing after I wrote this post. It showed a verrry faint BFP, but since it was after the testing timeframe, I'm not thinking this one is staying with me. Talk about a yo-yo ride! )
