Sorry, I simply forgot I was not in an IVF forum where these shorts are used frequently :) Don't want to bother you too much with this stuff anyway. In the end, all that matters is that I get eggs and that they fertilize so they can be transferred... :)

Toronto - Yeah, that is not an option for DH. I am Oing tomorrow. I know this makes me a terrible uncaring person (or at least wife) but...last night I tried everything to try to get him to BD (seduction, guilt, anger, even bribery) but he was not having it. He has a kidney cyst which is causing him pain (has been for months but I guess it is escalating). He is seeing specialists but until this is resolved, he won't even consider ..ahem...releasing the swimmers.

Oh well, maybe I will try again tonight (so callous, I know), then I can spend the next two weeks "exploring" my symptoms.

Angel - is your doc appt today?

shanessa... I can relate at least a little... We've had situations like that... Sometimes DBF is not able to, ahem, perform and I also tried all options (seduction, tears, guilt, anger...) - it's not working though, sigh :( Strangely though, in all our IVF treatments, he was always able to fill the cup :)

But I know how a "wasted" cycle is such a drag... I also had a few in preparation for IVF.

My check-up this morning went so-so. I had two equally sized follicles on each ovary and a couple of smaller ones, which he hopes will still catch up. I had hoped for more this go around, but then again - considering my previous results, it's not a surprise either. Now it all depends on the fertilization rate, which I hope will be good (they have to!!) considering all the supplements I have been taking for the past several months.

xo

Shanessa - I wish things were going better for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your DH feels better very soon.

Toronto - I'm so glad to see things are progressing ok for you, I've been thinking of you. Here's hoping that you have as many opportunities as possible and this will give you a stickie bean!

Angel - So excited for you! How is everything?

Red - Sorry about the negative, sometimes things can be so confusing!!

Leeane - don't count yourself out yet!

Essemkay - Extra good luck sent your way for the coming month!!

AFM - I got the results from my 21 day progesterone level check and the OB said it was awesome! and that I had O'ed for sure. Things look promising for this month yet, as we bd'ed like rabbits during the most fertile days. Now I just wait...ugh....8dpo and had a dip in my temp today....hoping it goes back up tomorrow. did anyone else have a positive pregnancy after temp dip, perhaps implantation? I have never tracked bbt until now....

Here's hoping for tons of BFP's!!

shanessa91, I hear ya. My husband threw out his back last weekend (I think it's because he's so tense and emotional because of his dad's passing), and he's already informed me that he doesn't think he'll be able to keep to the BDing schedule I've laid out for this week, at least not starting as soon as I would like - although he was able to perform for his semen analysis on Wednesday. Maybe I should try the turkey baster method!

torontochick, sounds like you're making good progress, even if it's not as much as you'd hope. There's always a chance more follicles will pop up when you least expect it!

pixandpoetry, hooray for ovulation!! Sounds really promising for you this cycle - my fingers are crossed!

well y'all aren't alone in the pulling out all the stops to get the swimmers, doesn't work for me either. I even attempted to get the hubby to agree to the "turkey baster" he thought I had lost my mind, lol

I was supposed to go this morning for my blood work but had to reschedule it for Mon. hubby had to go into work early. so another few days of waiting. Also my dr called and I have to go in the beginning of oct. for a colposcopy as my pap came back abnormal and think my dysplasia is back. I went through this after I had our one son 16 yrs ago and had to have surgery because within 3 mths I went from stage 1 to stage 4 (I think) the stage before it would've become cancerous. I guess the one thing I'm curious about but can't find anything on google, does anyone here know if this could cause false positives on the hpt's and maybe explain why I got a neg blood? guess i'm just a nervous wreck and over analyzing every thing, ugghhh.

Hey guys, reading over the thread here at the end, I saw something I would like to address. As a woman whose first marriage was to a man who obscessed over sex & did the whole, guilt, anger, etc routine any time I said no, including sleep deprivation. I was sad to see some of you mention doing this to your partners when they are going through a rough time physically. As someone who has been on the receiving end of that for 21 years, I feel for your guys big time.

Ladies, I understand how much you would like to conceive, I am with you in that boat, but don't make lovemaking a scheduled chore while you are TTC. Taking the joy and pleasure out of the BD is not going to help, in fact studies show the more stressed out you & your partner is during the activity the lower your chances.

Also, don't hurt your partner if he can't perform, it isn't his fault & I am sure he already feels awful enough, don't add to it by getting upset with him over it. You wouldn't like it if he did that to you, & as someone who lived with that for years, trust me, it makes you feel really awful, unloved & without respect from your partner.

I am blessed now to have a loving partner who does not do this to me, & I in turn respect and am loving when he is unable to BD for whatever reason. Respect your partner, you are in this together, he feels the missed opportunity as much as you do, so be kind.
