Over 40 TTC.... and I KNOW I am not the ONLY one: Part IV

Well, we got to page 16 so I started it over......

here's a recap of my story:
My name is Carolyn... I am 37 (close to 40) and just had my first child this summer but dh and I don't want to wait too long for another because it took us 2 years to have our first and we are getting older..... so we are TTC #2 now!

I have a question for you ladies: my temp dropped today but I have been getting negative opks so far.... only been testing once a day because I am only on cycle day 10 today and usually I O around day 12.... do you think I missed the surge and we should bd anyway today? or should I just wait and see if I get a postive opk in the next few days?

Angel, wohoo!!!!! You should def check with a specialist if you may have to take Heparin just in case because of your lupus.

Essemkay... I'll be counting down the days with you to your BFP!

Numbers... Good to hear that all's going well. Same here :)

Welcome to the new ladies! Don't give up hope!

Well, essemkay... how are YOU doing? How was your transfer? Hope you will get a big fat positive in two weeks!!!!!!!

I'm good. Transfer was fine. :)

I didn't manage to do any bedrest, although I tried. It was just impossible with my husband suddenly falling clueless and inept and having a household of guests. The timing wasn't the best. But I don't know how much bedrest has any effect on anything anyway.

I'm now 4dp3dt, so really nothing to report going on. I've never had any pregnancy symptoms during the 2ww with my prior pregnancies (and not for much longer after that), so probably I won't have anything to report until beta. Just crossing my fingers that one (and just one!) of these embryos holds on!!

How are you feeling, torontochick? How far along are you now?

Hi everyone. Fx for you essemkay.
Afm I'm CD 12. Waiting to o. Feels live right side o pain. I have my follow up re appointment in 2 days, hoping they can reassure me that I o or put me on Clomid.

Essemkay, I was never put on bedrest. German REs don't believe in it. But since American women are mostly put on bedrest for anything from 1 to 4 days, I always took the day of transfer off work and tried to take it easy. So I personally think that bedrest is not needed to get pregnant!

Montanella... Fingers crossed for O!! Did you try soy iso this cycle?

Angel... Any update on the bean? FX

Essemkay= good to hear it went well my thoughts and prayers are with you for that BFP...believe me i understand the grief of trying to follow bed rest orders unless in the hospital :P

AFM--still hanging in there, dr office not getting me in until the 25th for my first prenatal and redo my biopsy for the dysplasia..but so far lots of symptoms, worst the nausea and fatigue...a tad worried as i had some cramping today, but dr said that it can b normal and as long as no bleeding should b ok...so attempting to rest and take it easy...

Hi everyone.

Just got back from re appt. Confirmed that I don't o. My body doesn't show any of the classic signs. I bbt, opk, check cm and cervix and never see any tell tail signs. So will be doing Clomid the next two months. He was happy with the amount of follicles though so not bad news and I'm happy to move on.

Toronto chick, yes I did the soy isoflavones but as I am CD 14 and not one sign of me o'ing any time soon.

Montella - awwww hun im sorry to hear that. Hopefully the chlomid will sort you hun. Im CD16 so was hoping we would both get our BFP together :-(

AFM - I tested positive on my OPKs so DH and I BD'd last night (had been for a few days just to make sure i catch it ) but he said it felt totally different (TMI bit sorry). He said when he went in me that it was wet like when I normally 'O' then he said it was really dry inside (sorry) and I felt it was different it just didnt feel the same I cant explain it. Today i felt abit sick when I got into work and my tummy feels like its doing back flips :-( im not sure if its the Soy or the vitimins im taking or what. I just dont want to build my hopes up it could be anything else. I fell pregnant with my daughter day after I AF finished
