@TTClate30's - I don't know if I have ever successfully waited as long as I wanted to test. (-: I buy the cheapie wondfos off the internet though, so it's no big deal if I use them.

@mom2bx3 - I Know - I think so many of us really want that Christmas pregnancy - what a perfect Christmas gift that would be.

@NikkiN - how many DPO are you? Symptom spotting is sooooo hard!. UGH!. I watch ultrasound videos of surprise twin pregnancies wheN i can find them and I watch videos of people announcing pregnancies. Kind of pathetic, I'm sure. But idk I like it I guess. I'm weird.

AFM, 2 DPO. Will test at 10 DPO on next Friday. Will probably test before that, but 10 DPO is the day by which I should get a positive if it's like my last pregnancies.

I have a question for you ladies. So, in January we are supposed to go back to our RE if we aren't pregnant. This is our fifth month of six he gave us to get pregnant on our own to go back. So I'm just trying to decide what I would want to ask and what options might be best for us. DH has a normal sperm count. I seem to ovulate relatively regularly (although this month is WHACK), so I don't know that something like clomid would be helpful - anyone have any experience with climid - is it purely to make you ovulate or does it increase fertility for someone who already ovulates?

My other thought is potentially IUI without meds, but my DH and I don't have unlimited resources for fertility treatment so I want to be careful. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

While - I had one cycle on clomid with IUI and then one cycle with injection hormones and IUI.
Well Clomid works to help ovulation. I ovulate every cycle but my RE though it would make the ovulation "stronger" and therefore would help out with other hormones since one thing affects other in our bodies.
I know if they put you on a stronger dosage of clomid you might develop more follicles - and that gives you higher chances of getting pregnant but also higher chances of having multiplets. So even though I ovulate every time they did put me on clomid. Unfortunately my other hormones were off and the next cycle they changed me to expensive injections (my insurance covered a lot for me so it was not an issue) those drugs all together were $1700 but I only had to pay $160 out of my packet.
IUIs are not that crazy expensive. Or I should not say that since "expensive" is a relative term. in CT an IUI without drugs costs a bit less then $500. Some clinics might do a payment plans - look into that if you decide to go that way.
Oh... yeah and lets just say you normally ovulate on CD#17 - clomid might easily change that. I ovulated a bit later then normally I do with Clomid and some people ovulate earlier. You just never know how your body will react to those hormones.

DH and I have been ttc almost 20 months! No idea what happened, my period just went crazy when I stopped bc last April. I had a crazy 85 day cycle towards the end of the year and finally started fresh in January. My cycles are a little irregular and all tests this year have come back fine ... It's been a crazy ride, and with everyone I know getting pregnant, I'm just ready for it to be me! I'm sure you all understand! Stupid FB announcements

I have been looking at this site for awhile, but using FF, but decided I'd sign up here this month. Started OPKs this month, too, and I found out with my irregular cycles I am definitely O'ing late. Why didn't I ever think of that?

I believe CD23 (November 24th) was my O date, so I am currently 10DPO. Took an early test at 5DPO, 7DPO, and today at 10DPO, and of course all have been negative. Praying it's just still early and I still have a chance! I was really hoping for a pretty this morning, even just a faint line, but alas ... nothing.

Trying not to feel out this month, and it's at least nice to read other ppl still hanging in there!

WhileImWaiting: I am 6 DPO. I would ask my RE about doing 2 things that can happen at the same time...1) do a mid cycle ultrasound to measure the uterine lining to make sure its think and healthy, 2) a post coital test to make sure your mucus isn't killing DH sperm. But hopefully non of those are necessary because we will get 's this month!

AFM I really need this next week to go fast. Once I get to Tuesday it will fly. Hopefully having a weekend coming up will go fast because we will be working on our house... OH YEAH by the way on top of TTC we are about 3/4 way through building a new house!

I was looking at my journal entry from 2012 when I got a bfp and I had wrote tha it was different from af cycles as my boobs were not sore ooooooo.
I have had 2 episodes of shooting pain under left armpit an a very itchy nipple thats all. Usually I cant even put a bra on an off without getting tearful ha.
I have had morning nausea tha subsides after I eat.
I have a gassy stomach an cnt stop burping. The only symptom I have tha I get b4 af an a bfp is tha metalic taste. Tho this evening it wasnt like metal it was like I had swollowed pure blood. :/

I've been watching this board for a few weeks now, figured I'd finally comment.

I'm on CD18. Don't know if I've O'd. I'm trying really hard to not spend much money on OPKs. I didn't think I needed to since I O'd on CD21 with both of my previous pregnancies. But after a few months of trying, focusing on CD21, and no BFP I'm not totally sure when I O anymore. I had my IUD removed mid August and had AF 2 weeks later, then had a 36-day cycle and then a 32-day cycle. Based on the length of those cycles I would assume I'll O anytime between now and CD21. But just to be safe DH and I have been BD every other day since CD14.

Here's hoping we get to make that special Christmas announcement!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Ive been crazy busy so I'm just catching up on the last weeks worth of posts. I've officially O'd with OPK and Temp Spike. I was hoping it was a bit off since DH and I BD'd the day before and the day after but not on the day of. Even had I wanted to I wouldn't have been able to. I'm now 4DPO and no symptoms persay. I caught a horrible cold on my O day and it seems to be lingering so I can't tell what's from the TWW and whats from being sick. On the plus side I'm almost half way through the TWW and I've barely had a chance to think about it. I don't think this is going to be my month but there's always hope.

Hi Everyone. Well the spotting seems to still be there and I think itâ??s AF arrived early. Completely devastated I really thought this was our month. Had a little cry in the loo in work earlier!! Just have to wait and see if it gets heavier to know for sure. Itâ??s only been 3 months since we started trying and I feel like itâ??s never going to happen!
