Girls I need some CM education :)

What kind of CM should you have around ovulation? Watery? Stretchy? I never get stretchy CM during cycles. One time I got 1 inch stretch of CM and I was excited about that haha... if somebody could let me know how the CM should look like after AF goes away I would really appreciate it :)

Cryslynn - I always get painful AF so Clomid did not make any difference for me. But this is what I found as a side effect of Clomid "Heavy menstrual periods or bleeding between periods (spotting may make you think you are having implantation spotting)"

Basia - from what I've read and been told you should have either watery or egg white consistency CM, which should be clear (looks kinda like egg whites) and stretchy and should be able to stretch an inch or two without breaking

I have a hard time determining EWCM to. I sometimes have really stretchy CM but its white or white tinged, I don't know if that is EWCM or not. I think its supposed to be clear from what I have read.

From what I hear it can be white or clear. I have had both. Fertile mucous starts as watery and moves to stretchy egg white as you get closer to O. Sperm essentially use this mucous to "climb" up to the eggy ;) Be sure to drinks lots of water during this time, dehydration can inhibit EWCM. Also, I've heard robitussin or mucinex can work well to increase the amout of fertile mucous.
I'm sure Google can provide more information about CM....?

Kinda fell off reading after all my cyst drama this week, thank you everyone for the positive thoughts! After researching a bit more I'm not feeling as discouraged. I inhaled the book "Woman Code" by Alisa Vitti cover to cover in 3 days- its an action plan to achieve hormonal balance for drugless healing of cysts, fibroids, infertility, irregular cycles, chronic fatigue, PMDD, endo, etc etc. I'm a fan, its worth a read if you're looking for info on nutrition plans and supplements. (**Holly and Kernishp**)

Also- I started taking 400mg of CVS Gualfenesin only yesterday and my CM definitely more abundant! Pretty cool.

I've got ovulation grumbles though: my OPKs have been neg since CD6, confirmed a neg on a CB digi today, CD12. BUT my temp took a dive with a low on CD10 and is climbing the last two days. An O on CD11 would be super early for me but my CM is watery-creamy as of yesterday too. What in the world?? I've been too sore from the sono to BD, it would be super lame if caused me to miss my O!!!

Xoxo- I'm right there with ya, babe! DH told me two days ago that between work and home he is so stressed he can't even handle it and he wants to STOP TRYING for now :( He told me this after we BDed on O day, so I'm hoping that this cycle is IT because I don't know when that guy is NOT stressed out! Hahah shhhhhh

Also, yesterday (2dpo) and today (3dpo) I've had super stretchy EWCM. What gives?!? Has this ever happened to anyone before?? I'm fairly certain I already O'd 3 days ago. Could this been the remaining EWCM from up high near my cervix that's slowly making its way down? I hope so.
Also interesting, the mobile app "Ovia" says I am 5 dpo. CTP says 3dpo. I'm pretty solid on 3dpo based on my cervix assessment but temping is a little iffy since I get up so much with DS through the night. Usually awake for the day by 4am :/
Only time will tell, I guess!
