Looking for ladies in their 40's TTC

Hello :)
I was wondering if they are any ladies out there in their 40's ttc. Please add me as a friend and we can support each other along the way.
I'm trying for another child but have had a few losses along the way but not ready to give up just yet, not while I know they're still some eggs just waiting to be caught!
and to every single one of you out there!

My RE has me eating a high protein, low carb diet. This is supported by the American Congress of Obstetritians and Gynecologists, which has strong evidence that this will improve egg quality:

It is hard for me to follow because I am a vegetarian! However I am trying my best while undergoing the IUI. It does have the added advantage that is also a diet that works well for weight loss (sorta like aitkins).

I did my HCG trigger shot last night and my insemination is scheduled for tomorrow. I have 2 (and possibly a third) eggs that will most likely ovulate. I am disappointed because I was hoping for 4-6 to beat the odds of only 25% of the eggs being chromosomally normal! Today my eggs are going through meiosis (HCG trigger shot initiates this), so if any trisomies occur they will occur now! ><

Here is another link regarding that high protein, low carb diets increase fertility and egg quality:

Hi again. My retrieval is now supposed to be Saturday or Sunday b/c my eggs need a little more time to grow up! lol.

Hello vertolive: Congratulations!!! Your message is soooo inspiring. That's a lot of good information & I'm happy to see that your hard work and own research paid off! Thank you for sharing and providing your email address.

Nickname me:
@Onemorebaby and all: feel free to nickname me "eat2" as I didn't realize how long it takes to write it when I chose the name. I don't like having to spell all that out either. lol!

@karamyl: that's really a good site. I'm crossing fingers for your in the next 2 weeks. Keep up the good diet. Also, I just found out that my oatmeal has 4mg of protein, which surprised me, but you prob already knew this., stay positive and keep us posted.

Suggestion for us all: I had an idea that I'm starting as of today, but thought I would share the idea so you can make your own: on my TTC journal I have a private entry called "what worked for others" (private b/c that gives me time to do my own research). As I come across excellent stories as the ones listed here for us 40ish year olds, I'll add to that journal entry each few days, along with the reference site/source. Then, if I don't get a BFP I can make gradual changes based on what I feel I need to do and ask my RE/OB-GYN for advice.

Hello ladies, shock!! I just got a bfp this morning. I've lasted as long as possible and today is 10 or 11 DPO so I used a cheap test and saw a faint pink line within a few minutes. I decided to use a FRER and an unmistakable line came up straight away. Ok I wish I could say I'm excited but I'm not, not really. I'm due to have testing next week for my multiple miscarriages and I feel absolutely nothing. Boobs as soft as squashed oranges and I feel too normal. This to me is not a good sign. I've lost so many I don't know how to be happy but we'll see and I will keep you all updated. I had a mc last month so this is the first month trying again (naughty as I shouldn't have done that!)
You can see the photos in my hpt images but they're not very good at all. Good luck to us all and I hope we all get our dreams. I for now pray for a sticky baby.

We on here will not think negative. So congratulatios on your Onemorebaby. Do not stress yourself on negative things, there are many women who have had miscarriages and became pregnant the following month with a success of a health baby.

Thank you Jazmine, I appreciate your kind words, we're all here in the same boat and I hope that we all have BFP's with sticky babies to take home at the end of it all. I'm trying not to think negative things but I have to say it's quite difficult not to after so many losses but I'm going to take one day at a time and I know that if it's meant to happen and stay then it will. Thank you again. :)

Hi All! I'm 45 years old and have a 7 year old son. My DH and I have FINALLY gotten our act together and are trying for our #2. This is our 3rd month TTC. Of course because of my age my OB ran us thru the tests ie; sperm count, HSG, Bloodwork for FSH & LG levels....everything has come back great AND I'm like clockwork every month. I just had my first round of Clomid, Estradiol, and will start with the Progesterone inserts June 12th. UGH! A little nervous about all of this medicine, but my OB said he wanted to get really aggressive. He's giving me 3 mos. to try on Clomid and if that doesn't work he will refer us to a specialist. I'm trying so hard to not stress out about our 'limited time', but it's difficult. When we tried for our 1st it took us ONE try and SUCCESS! I was 38 at the time.
I am posting here because I feel so emotional about this. We aren't telling ANYONE that we are even trying. I love him to pieces, but I need some female support here. LOL Much & to you all!

Congratulations OneMoreBaby on your results! I know it's difficult, but please try to be positive. I will keep you in my prayers for a !

I started tracking my BBT this month and let me tell you ... it was ALL OVER THE PLACE from the start of my period until 3 DPO. It was difficult for me to tell when I actually ovulated, but I was also checking my CM and using an OPK (which I LOVE!). I use the ClearBlue Digital so it's easier to read...can get expensive, but that's where the CM check helps.

Wishing everyone good luck in your journey! It helps to know that there are other AMA TTCs out there!

Much , , & to you all!
