Anyone else taking Clomid for the first time?

Hi Everyone. I am on cycle day 23 today and I believe I am 4 days past ovulation (though my OPKs have said I am ovulating every day for the last 4 days).
This is my first cycle taking Clomid (days 5 - 9) as my Dr. says I have very mild PCOS. I read on here so many other things that girls taking Clomid are doing but I was given the pills and told to take it every day from 5 -9 and start BDing every day 9 - 16. Because my OPKs didn't show a positive, my hubby and I kept BDing every day until yesterday when I finally decided that we both really needed a break!
I feel like I have done everything I can this month - Clomid, Robitussin, Preseed, tried 13 days in a row and Instead cup. I really hope everything works.
If any one has any Clomid tips, suggestions, knowledge, and especially success stories, I would love to hear them!!
Thanks!!!

I'm currently TTC #1 and in the middle of my TWW of month #2 on Clomid 50 mg. I stopped taking the pill on February, and we have been trying since May. (Dr. recommended allowing my system to cycle naturally a few times before trying because not doing so could increase the risk of miscarriage).

I have regular cycles, and I've never had a problem not ovulating. I'm on Clomid because I was ovulating on day 20 of a 30 day cycle, so my luteal phase was too short for implantation to occur. I had a chemical pregnancy two cycles ago before I started Clomid, and we think that was why.

The first round of Clomid bumped up my ovulation to day 18, but my progesterone wasn't quite in the normal range. They kept me on the 50mg only because they don't want to bump up the amount too quickly as to not overstimulate the ovaries. This month, I ovulated on day 15! I'm due for AF on Nov. 22nd (Thanksgiving and my hubby's birthday). Hopefully we will get our BFP...only time will tell! Good luck and baby dust to all!

Victoria- Yes, with your cyst, that is probably a smart idea. Since I'm not sure whether I can ovulate on my own, I'm sure there is still a little higher danger of twins for me, but it's not as high as with clomid, so I'll accept the risk. However, this is also the first period I've had after coming off birth control, and it's been more than three months since I last had one. My period has actually been heavier than ever. Even though I was using birth control, I previously went three months without having a period while on the pill, and when I did, it was just as painful and thick as this one.
