UGH! @Texas and @Margie I'm so sorry, ladies. This journey can be so so hard and yucky. I wish we could just all have babies easily. )-:

So girls... I am going today to see my RE... based on what happened what do you think I should ask him? Anything specific you can think of? I have few questions for him but not sure if I am missing anything.

Texasgirl13 and Margie_M - I'm so very sorry. Really sucks.

Basia30 - I guess just ask if the doctor has any idea why this happened. Does he/she suspect a chromosomal abnormality with the embryo? A problem with implantation or your lining? An immune factor? Probably there will be no quick answers, which sucks, too.

Me: 45, unexplained (but now ancient) Husband: 46 (perfect in every way) Married 21 years 1 daughter born 07/2011 after TTC for 12 years

@basia-i think what essemkay said was exactly what I woudl say too. Just make sure you ask why this may have happened. I am so sorry. I hope you get some answers today. Please let us know how it goes.

@Basia - this is your first loss, correct? You could ask him for the testing they usually do after more than one loss - clotting factors, etc. I know a lot of times they don't want to do that until you have more than one or two, but man wouldn't it be great to figure that out before you go through 1-2 more?

Basia- hopefully they will do the extra testing for you. Now that I have had 2 losses in a row he is testing me for a bunch of things and DH is getting a test too. I will feel much better going into our next round of TTC having some answers. Hopefully they will all come out good though! I don't think I can handle another loss. I pray you don't have to go through it again too!

Basia, i hope you will be satisfied after your meeting with the doc. I guess he will suggest some tests because you are in the process of ivf. A question i would ask is that if the mc was due to chromo or genetic problem, which are the chances that also the frozen one would have the same problem?
