@BabyPath - oh friend. I am so, so, so sorry for your loss. Isabella Faith is such a beautiful name for your beautiful daughter. I hate that this has happened to you. If you want someone to talk to, please know you can message me at any time. These things seem so incredibly unfair. Hugs to you.

Good morning ladies,

While - I hope you are doing well.

hoping&praying4ababy - I've done 6 medicated IUI's which is the most my clinic will do. I think had I really pushed for it they would have done more but I also know the statistics for it, so it doesn't make much sense to continue doing the same thing that isn't working. We're probably going to start IVF in March.

Kethryes - The doctor I had met with was one of the doctors who did my U/S for my IUI. I don't have one particular one assigned to me. He was nice enough and was willing to answer any questions I had. I've only had one doctor I didn't like at this clinic and I haven't had to deal with her since. How are you feeling? I can understand that it's hard to be hopeful after all that you've been through. I'm really hoping that you get your BFP on Thursday.

LS - You're so right. This whole process takes so much out of a person. It kind of becomes your whole life. I'm so excited for your little miss to arrive.

AFM - The Doctor was very nice and very willing to answer questions. I'm glad I had brought a page of questions with me otherwise I think I would have been lost. Basically my clinic has to refer me to their IVF clinic in the same building. Once they've done that we need a few more tests, which we'll do in the new year and to go through their orientation process. DH has agreed that we would most likely try to start the IVF cycle in March. In the mean time we're going to relax and get healthy.

I am so happy Margie for you. Take a rest dear. I had a great time before IVF and that helped me to be relaxed during the 2ww.

That nausea is worse today. It is for sure not in my mind and i started hoping. I am 12 days past transfer. I think it is the first time i count it!

@margie-I am glad you went with questions. There are so many questions to be asked and can be easily missed. I loved that my clinic had a portal messaging system set up. I asked so many questions and was able to view all my test results online. March is a great time for IVF! That is when we did yours too! Just think, next year this time you will be about to pop and just daydreaming about your baby making his or her appearance!

@keth-You are making me very excited for you! Although the big boobs and whatnot could be from progesterone, i hope the nausea is a great sign! I knew with my cycle progesterone was making my boobs hurt because i had that before we did my transfer, so i never accounted for that. OHHHH i so kinda want you to test but I know why you don't want to either!! P.S. my beta was on a Thursday also! I think its a sign :)

AFM-I have been doing acupuncture to get baby going. It is supposed to help her drop and position. I have a check up on Thursday and hope that i will have dilated even more. I am really ready to have her and would love for her to be here for Thanksgiving! I am thinking this weekend would be perfect :)

Margie~I'm glad u r feeling good and got questions answered. It'll b a nice little break for u b/w here and March :)

Keth~I feel very hopeful for u!!!! I'm so anxious for u to test!! U r much stronger than I was haha! Yay for Thurs!!

LS~that would b so great if she was here for thanksgiving :))) I hope u have her this wkend :)))

While~how have u been doing?

Hoping~we tried pressed and soft cups but no luck on those :/ but I do hear they help lots of other ppl! We had 7 failed IUI's before IVF finally worked so I think the pressed and soft cups wouldn't have ever worked for me. I know it's hard trying to make the decision on what to do next :/ I'd almost say if ur husband wants to try natural one more mth then, for him, I'd prob do that. Y does your RE say u have to wait till Jan to do an IUI? My husband always hated being put in the spot too! I think it's natural to feel like u have to do this right now and it has to b perfect and to over think it. Gd luck to u this mth :)

AFM~we had our gender reveal this past Sat! It was a great party! The Dr called today and said my blood results for the 2nd genetics screening was all negative :))) I'm 19 weeks today! I can't believe I'll b halfway there next week! We get to go see baby boy Friday :)) still praying for u ladies to get ur BFP!!!

@hoping- I am sorry i skipped over you. Taking that next step to IUI/IVF is a big deal, so if DH is willing to do that, after one more natural cycle, I would absolutely do one more natural cycle. We tried preseed and soft cups but they were unsuccessful for us. DH had severely low counts though so i don't think it would have mattered. I know others who they have worked for. It's possible your RE wants to wait until after the holidays so that way you don't miss any opportunity because of a closed clinic or anything like that. I think that makes sense. Maybe take December to relax and have that time before everything ramps up. When we moved on from IUI to IVF we had a three or four month break in between to save money and just mentally prepare. It was really nice to have.

Timing can be really hard and nerve racking. If there are no sperm issues, as long as you are DTD every other day, you really should be ok though! Are you taking any vitamins? Women who are deficient in Vitamin D have shown infertility issues...make sure you are taking that. Have you thought to try acupuncture? I would highly recommend it for relaxation but also for leveling you out. Find someone who is familiar with fertility. It makes a HUGE difference. If you end up doing IUI in January, this is a perfect time to start getting your body and mind prepared!

MargieM - Im in my first cycle of IVF now. I continue to have questions, but all in all, I actually think the IVF process is a little less stressful than the IUI, despite it being more work for me. Enjoy this time before you start though... have some spirits during the holidays!

Keth - How many days post transfer do you have to wait before testing? I am curious.... But I feel the same as you. I have had too many negative preg. tests, that I can't bear to see another one... I'd rather have a neg. blood test...

LSchrader - I am sure you are ready to meet her... as the mother of a preemie, let her stay in as long as you can (not that it is in your control). But exciting times are right around the corner! YAY!

Hoping/praying - I have tried pre-seed but with no luck... but I always thought it was worth a shot... GOOD LUCK!

AFM - I am almost to my egg retrieval. I think it will be friday. I have been mixing some of my medication, which was challenging for me. Last night I had to give myself 3 shots, 2 of which needed to be mixed. Luckily my friend came to help. Tonight I have 3 shots and then tomm I go back for u/s and b/w. Depending on those results, I may need to trigger tomm night and then 36 hours later go in for retrieval.

For you ladies who have been through this before, have you done a fresh cycle transfer or a fet? I am not sure I will be doing a fresh cycle - they want me to participate in a study that will get me PGS testing - which puts me at transfer next month.

As always - BABY DUST!!!

Bens - good luck with your retrieval :) How exciting. I did 2 transfers and they were both fresh transfers - it just made sense for us to do that because our insurance covered 2 IVF cycles and if I just transferred frozen embryos they would count that as 1 cycle. So we were looking at doing a fresh IVF and getting that covered and then if it would not work paying about $4000 out of packet to do frozen transfer. Financially it just made sense.

Me: 31 DH: 32 TTC #1 September 2014: 1st IUI - BFN October 2014: 2nd IUI - BFN December 2014: laparoscopy and hysteroscopy - RE removed endometriosis and septum in the uterus. January 2015: 3rd IUI - BFN March 2015 - 1st IVF - we transferred 1 embryo and froze 1embryo - chemical June 2015 - 2nd IVF - we transferred 2 embryos and froze 2 embryos - User Image

Bens, good luck on retrieval! We did fresh transfers as well with ours. I'm curious how your clinic does PGS testing. Ours does it on Day 3 embryos and have results back morning of Day 5 so you can still do a fresh transfer. The Day 3 testing they do is the exact testing that can be done on a Day 5 and just as reliable.

Keth, excited to hear your news tomorrow! I'm praying for a beautiful BFP and positive beta outcome for you!
