Hi Pink!

It seems we almost have the same cycles. My AF is actually 2 days earlier than expected, but you never know with these things.

I called the doctor today and they definately want me to do the Rubella Vaccine. The thing is, I am not allowed to do clomid and get the Vaccine. Also, I am not allowed to TTC for 3 months after taking the Vaccine!!! (Sighs...)

They want to take this precaution because I travel very often and they do not want to chance a baby being malformed or anything of that sort! It's pretty important.

It's just that when you are TTC, to hear you have to wait 3 Months is a bit of a bummer! You know what I mean?

I think it is a good time for me to start taking Folic Acid & Prenatals though.

Side Note: Has any one of you ladies used Pre-Seed personal lubricant before? I was reading up on it and it is said to be the ONLY lubricant which is safe and actually aids in TTC. It is not bad for the sperm at all. Plus with us on clomid, one of the side effects (which I've noticed actually) is getting really dry down there. AND using saliva or ANY other lube acts as a barrier for the sperm to meet the egg! I think I might give it a go, once I get the ok to continue TTC!

I'm being monitored with my cycles because I'm doing IUI with a trigger shot. I had 2 cycles that were unmonitored at the beginning. I had my protocol changed because we had decided to do a minimally stimmed IVF using clomid, and my RE wanted to see exactly how I responded. I think it was my second IUI/trigger cycle that resulted in a BFP. That was my ectopic. We decided since that protocol had worked, we'd hold off the IVF and stick with it.

If the clomid and using opk's for natural bd timing is what you are doing, you are less likely to be monitored with ultrasound. Every RE is different, and some will do that if you ask for it.

I too am being monitored quite frequently. I had an US on CD12 and I had to go back on CD14 to make sure everything was going ok. Before we even started the whole therapy, she made sure that I was ok with coming in several days within a week's span, because she wanted to monitor everything! To be honest, I really appreciate that! Also, it's not a hassle for me either since my Appointments are made in the mornings and I don't come in to the office untill afternoon anyways!

Mrs K, are you in the US? I find with the people I talk to online, more RE's seem to monitor than not in the US. But every one of them seems to differ with what they look for.

I'm sorry you have to be put on hold for the rubella vaccine. Where do you travel to? Did the do an immunity test on you to determine that you needed the vaccine?

I live in Zürich, Switzerland. They did test everything and everything is normal. The thing is I travel frequently back and forth to the UK and also within Europe in general. Also, I am a Caribbean girl, and I go home for the Holidays and so on. I am originally from Trinidad & Tobago.

She said if I didn't travel too much then she wouldn't do the Vaccine, but she still insisted I do it, especially if the clomid did not work this first round! So now that it didn't, she definately wants me to take the Vaccine! She does not want to take any chances at all she said!

I think her fear stems from me travelling to the Caribbean though. Because we get those Vaccines when we are very young children and here in Switzerland, they get Vaccinated in their teens.

I just hope it does not make me sick!

cd14 today.
No charting,not many OPK's done,Will upload pictures of what I have done,but all seem negative to me as of now.
No temping....So I don't know when I will Ovulate or If it's close.
My cervix was LOW & SOFT last night..*HURT DURING SEX* When it is LOW! :-(
Has been HIGH since "PERIOD" til about OCT17th..so I do not know.

Mrs.K, if you've had a rubella vaccination before, I'd ask for an immunity test specifically before getting the vaccine. If you are already immune, you won't need it. Unless they did test for that and are sure you don't already have an immunity to it.

Genni, hopefully you are close to ovulating.

AFM, seems like the trigger is pretty much gone. I think today's test was negative. I'll keep testing now to see if something comes back.

Mrs. K!!! - That sucks that you might be out of the TTC game for 3 months but I stay positive about it! Time seems to stretch while TTC. I know the 2WW seems to feel like a month for me!
& about the Preseed question, I just bought it for this first cycle of clomid bc I also heard about concerns of CM being dry with the clomid. I actually havent had the dry problem, at least not yet.. But we are usual lube users so it was nice to know that the preseed will not hurt our chances even more like regular lube or spit.. I overall liked the preseed. I would just recommend not using as much as it says on the packaging.. about half of what is recommended is enough but its all about your personal preference..

lisserb - I have an OB not an RE, so i would say that is mostly the reason I am not monitored with U/S. The nearest RE is 2 hours from where I live. But my OB said if I dont get pregnant from the Clomid they will recommend me to a specialist.. That is something we might do sooner if the Clomid doesn't work by the end of the year. I will be able to get on my husbands insurance as of 2013 and I am hoping they will cover some fertility expenses.

Genni25 - CD14 is still early for O.. You might O later, keep using OPK's if you want to catch your surge or just BD every other day. Good luck!

Also I didn't know if any of you girls already have children? I have a 5 year old from a previous relationship. I was one of those that was off BC pills the first month and got pregnant.. ( I was also 18 and in high school, ran out of BC pills and before I went back to the DR for a refill and to get a checkup, I was already KU) Oh the joy of that little story.. lol I hope it doesn't make anyone think anything less of me... No one will think less of you Pink! Knowing that though, I have to ask. Have you had your DH do a semen analysis? That is the issue with us, why we can't conceive.

I have a DD who will be 7 in January. We tried for 2.5 years for her, and gave up to start IUI treatment. I waited for CD1 to come so we could do our first IUI, but it never showed. I was surprised with a natural BFP. We waited nearly 4 years after she was born to take the treatment route, but lighting didn't strike us twice unfortunately.

Pink- there are a few of us on here who have secondary infertility too. And nobody on here will think less of you because of having a child already or how easy or hard it was to fall pregnant the first time around. Regarless of how many children a woman already has it still pulls at the heart strings when it doesn't happen again.

Lisserb- I went to that site and the prices are very fair indeed. And I like how they are midstream. I hate those little dippers! I'm going to wait till next cycle to order them seeing as it says 5-10 business days. I would hate to receive them after finding out (crossing fingers till knuckles turn white) that I am pregnant. Three more days and I'm a testin'!!

Mrs.K- I did the preseed thing and found it to be a big help in terms of comfort during the dance. I say go for it!

Genni- I'm not a BBT charting pro so I might be wrong, but I don't think temping lets you know if you are "close" to ovulating. My understanding was that when your temp shoots up it means you've already ovulated. I thought that CM and CP was the only real way to have an idea and even then it's not 100%. Again, I could be wrong. You've probably temped way more than me, Im still a newbie temper. Hopefully you will O in the next few days.
