ssurra, we all feel that way when we are in the middle of trying. Usually when you've been trying for more than a year and you get the diagnosis of "unexplained" there is something that they are missing somehow. I understand the feeling of impatience.

Knowing that you've done those tests, and that you have been trying for a full year, I wouldn't wait for more than the next two cycles before asking for more monitoring. I always felt like taking clomid with no monitoring was like flying blind. I was right in my case. Turns out even with the OPK timing for the IUI's I was missing my ovulation window.

Hoping your BFP finds you soon!

proudmom, don't give up all hope yet. I've seen women on here who were sure they were out because of a low progesterone number and that was the cycle they got their BFP. I've seen it happen more than once.

Good Luck!

Girls! Great news!! I applied for the compassionate care program to help pay for my Gonal F and they approved us!! I was so scared because DH makes good money! But they are paying for 50% of my medication!! Im so relieved! If any of you are on or thinking about injectables I would apply for this program. You can get either 50 or 75% off medication costs! I am going to sit out this coming month because I feel that my body needs a break....we have our consult on June 3 to go over the injectables then start the next cycle! I really hope this works for us. I am just waiting for AF to show...she should be here any day now.....I will be sitting on the sidelines cheering you all on the month!! Good luck girls catch those eggies!

Darian that's great news! What a huge blessing to have some financial help! I hope you still come around and update us during your break month.

ssurra I agree that some monitoring is invaluable. I took three months of clomid without monitoring and didn't have any success. I could have been ovulating, but probably not, since I found out that I need trigger shots. Perhaps your doc would do that? If not, going to a specialist after three months is a really good idea.

proudmom :( You might have still ovulated. I hope so!

AFM for some reason, I just feel really calm and hopeful about this cycle. I may or may not be pregnant, but either way, I just feel calm about it. It's a nice change :)

Congrats to all those with BFPs!! It is really nice to hear some success stories :)

Darian, I am so happy for you to be getting some financial support...these treatments are stressful enough without the worry of how to pay for it all. I hope that this is the ticket for you!

AFM, I am CD 14 today with a promising OPK this morning...we will see if there is a smiley face this afternoon. The Femara has been pretty easy on me. I had a few headaches and a hot flash or two, but none of the pre-o cramps I got with Clomid, just a few twinges on both sides. Hopefully, this is a positive thing and not a sign that nothing is going on in there. My temps have been all over the place, but I live in Wisconsin and it seems as if we have just gone straight from winter to summer in the last few weeks, so that might be the reason.

Felurian, I am feeling the same way this cycle. I don't think I've ever been this calm. Perhaps it's a good sign for us both!

Lots of to everyone!

Hi ladies - -I did use an OPK last time, I just cheaped out when I shouldn't have. AF came today. I called the doc and should have a new script for clomid waiting at the pharmacy.

Doc offered me the opportunity for an IUI, but my husband and I want to try at least one more cycle with the medication alone.

I'll also be using an OPK every day after my period, just to be sure. The other times I used one I did it like hpt, fmu. This last round, I did smu because it's easier for me to remember.

If we don't conceive this cycle, then we might try IUI next, and after that, def. going to a specialist. Sigh.

There are only 10 days from my o date 'til AF. Every month. That's about the only consistent thing going. Doc doesn't see any cause for alarm. Is LPD a real thing? Does anyone here have any experience?

ssurra, sorry about AF :( That stinks! And a 10 day LP is pretty short... I would think he'd be concerned about that. Sometimes the egg hasn't even had the chance to implant by 10 DPO! Maybe that's something to bring up with him at your next appointment. I know it can easily be extended by taking progesterone.

felurian - That's what I thought, too. I took progesterone from cd12 until I got AF. Cycle was 26 days.

I'm adding preseed to my list of helpers this cycle b/c I found clomid made me very dry mid-cycle.

I did ovulate but my number was low. It just sucks big time right now. I hope i did conceive! Thanks for the support!

ssurra, I would see if you can start progesterone after you O and for the following 14 days.

I think starting progesterone too early could cause problems with your ovulation, since the rise of progesterone happens after your body releases the egg, not before.

I would also try to stay on the progesterone at in an attempt to increase your luteal phase past 10dpo. I disagree with your Dr. thinking that a 10 day LP is not an issue.

You are the driver on this journey and I've definitely found over the years that you need to research and advocate for yourself. The Dr's don't always get it right.

Good Luck~!

I tested today, since if the trend follows, today should be the last day of a positive trigger. And it's positive, sort of. One of those super squinty, everyone else would think I'm crazy, positives. It will definitely be negative tomorrow. If I see anything on the stick tomorrow or after, I think it'll be real.
