Reintroducing myself and to let the Newbies know who I am.

Name/Nickname: Bug
Location: TN
Age/ DH's: 28, 29
Cycles trying: 10
Cycle length: 28-31 days
About your journey so far: My journey started before I did really. [On BC at the time and not married] Back in Dec 2010, I felt and thought I was pregnant, I was throwing up, sleeping alot, peeing in the middle of the night but when Af was due it was a couple of days late but when AF finally came she came with a vengeance and boy was I in pain and bleeding through everything. I never tested, but I believe to have what I call a miscarriage. So, in January, my DF at the time decided we wanted to start TTC got off BC and we eloped January 22, 2011. But when AF came, my DH and I decided to wait and I went back on BC. A month later on February 22, 2011, we decided to throw out the BC for good. I got my AF right on time and have ever since accept in July I was a week late. I have fought back so many tears because each time AF came somebody I knew was pregnant. It doesn't feel good each time either when they weren't even trying and they got what I want.
Hoping this 10th cycle brings me a BFP and a sticky bean. Been using BBT charting going on 4 cycles and OPKs. Last two cycles I tried Soy Isoflanovones, (natural Clomid)

Thanks for starting the new forum bug :) Even though I'm on somewhat of a break from ttc I'll reintroduce myself as well.

Nickname: Katie
Location: Canada
Age/ DH's: Both 23
Cycles Trying: 8
Cycle Length: 28 days

My journey started back in May 2010. My husband and I were engaged at this point but not married. We decided that I would come off the pill as we knew we were getting married the following year. After stopping the pill it took 53 days to get a period. After that they went down to about the 35 day range. Unfortunately after 5 months (but technically only 3 cycles) I found out I had what could be the very early start of cervical cancer. I had to go back on birth control and have surgery. Fortunately they only had to remove a small part of my cervix which does not affect fertility or one's ability to conceive.

After several follow up tests I was given the go ahead to start trying again. This time when I got off the pill it only took 34 days to get a period, and now I've been on regular 28 day cycles with the exception of one that was 31.

Although DH and I were very actively trying the past 4 cycles we have decided to take a break for a while. I could not handle the disapointment anymore. So no more temping, checking cm, bding on a schedule or using any supplements. I still love this website though and like to check in on my friends :)

About your journey so far:

Hello ladies i hope to join you :) I am 31 ttc#1 . My hubby is in the military so we postponed this for many years because he is gone for sometimes a year or more at a time and then he had planned to get out of the army but then because of the economy that fell through. So he re-enlisted for another 6 yrs but that was already 2 yrs ago now. Anyways .. so in may 2010 birth control pills made me stop having periods this didnt make me feel very comfortable for our future of conception so i finally was taken off the pill by my doctor in september 2011 so since i was off the pill hubby and i have decided what the heck!.. but the thing is my cycle is still pretty messed up from the pill and i have a doctors appt tomorrow because my periods have been absent since may really .. i do bleed on "the day" but its only spotting old blood so think it maybe a progesterone issue??? not sure yet but we have been BDing anyways and tracking O's and if something happens then AWESOME! However it looks like i may need some doctors help perhaps. Fingers crossed it wont be too much of an issue.

What is super stressful is he is yet again getting deployed in April of 2012 so.. running out of time but trying not to think about it.. trying not to stress about it if i can help it. I am trying to look at it as being in God's hands at this point which I truly feel it is.. so anyways its great to have some support here!

Heres to ttc our first babies!!! :)

Thanks for the welcome Bug... hmm i may look into the soy isoflavones i have heard them mentioned a few times but did not realize it was like a natural clomid... I am not too keen on taking synthetic hormones after what these Birth control pills did to my body. :/

right now i am quite positive I have been ovulating. I am pretty sure I did in november based on symptoms mixed with cm and cp.. was not doing well on charting bbt though in the beginning and i do not know how reliable it would be as I am such a light sleeper and usually have to get up to pee around 5 am every morning or most mornings... hmmm... right now I am taking folic acid B complex and 50 mg of b6...

hello everyone!

introducing myself:
Name/Nickname: elizabeth
Location: british columbia
Age/ DH's: (nearly) 27/ 30
Cycles trying: this is our 4th
Cycle length: 29ish
About your journey so far: We got engaged in Feb of this year, but decided we'd rather try to start a family than do a wedding (neither of us are huge wedding people and we've been together for a long time anyway). I went off BC in June or so and we started trying in August. The first month I got two faint positives, but it didn't stick and I lost it shortly after AF was due. On our third try, I got another BFP, but miscarried at 6 weeks (in Oct). I was devastated. But after taking a break for one cycle, we're anxious to try again. I'll be seeing a recurrent losses specialist in January, but the doc gave us the go ahead to try on our own as well. I'm trying not to get worked up this time and just hoping it happens naturally. Third times a charm, right? We had originally said that if I didn't get pregnant by Jan, we'd go ahead and plan the wedding, but after all the bad luck we've had, we both realized how much we want this and are going to try for a while longer. Wedding will have to wait!
Currently waiting to ovulate for our 4th cycle trying.

this is a great thread, i'm excited to read everyone's stories and share this with you.

KatieMay, I know you said you was taking a break but we would still love to hear from you. Fx'd that in your time of break you catch an eggie!!!

Woozle, Thank you dear!!

Tanya, Thanks for sharing the link for those who have gotten their BFPs. I sure hope I get mine!!!

Welcome, Kristin, I'm sorry you have had to go through the pill messing up your cycles. I believe I have a progesterone issue so I'm using progesterone cream the day or two after O date and I can see it's helped keep my temps higher and not all over the place. I hope that before your hubby deploys you get a BFP!!!

Welcome, Elizabeth, I'm sorry about your losses. I hope that you get answers and a STICKY BFP!!! Try to take baby aspirin it is said to help in that department.

L, Hey, chick. I'm sorry AF showed up this morning. Hugs to you dear and please don't lose hope and faith.

As for me, I guess I could actually give my name out now. I am just so use to being called Bug by everyone even friends and family. But My name is Hannah. I know it's on my ticker but I have actually introduced myself as Hannah yet.

I'm not sure if I will be getting a BFP this cycle for I'm not sure what is going on with symptoms somedays I believe I have some and then others I don't so with that said I am still planning on testing on Friday and Saturday and Sunday I will test until AF gets here or decided to stay way. She should be here Sunday but I hope and pray she stays away.
