I'm starting this thread for the women who have been TTC for a while....and either not having success or are having multiple frustrating losses. There is no judging....and it's a group for support (and virtual hugs!) whenever we need it.

So, come....stay awhile....grab a hot cup of tea (or coffee!) and type away!

Did they give you any advice on things to do to prepare your body to carry a pregnancy better? I can imagine that it is frustrating for you.

Good to hear everything is going well for you!

My mother struggled with infertility as well so when we were ready to start trying I just knew we were in for a long haul. It wasn't easier knowing we may have issues but I think it prepared me better for the journey. It took us 3 years, 1 m/c, and 1 ectopic to get to the point we are now. I am now 19 weeks along and other then sickness still my pregnancy has been uneventful. All I can say is hang in there, be proactive with your doctors and don't be afraid to push if you are mentally and emotionally ready for it. I also think you are doing the right thing by getting checked out sooner rather than later.

We were at the same exact point you are at right now. We actually tried one last time with clomid after lots of rounds of clomid, then about 4 rounds of letrazole. I tried vitamins and everything in between. IVF was our next stop (No insurance coverage) and then we got a surprise on our last round of clomid. 3 years was a long journey! Good luck and hang in there! You will find great support from these ladies! I know I have!

We are at 19 weeks! Still praying that this will be out take home baby!

and to all!

@dolphin unfortunately all 4 drs (including a leading research dr specializing in loss) have said all tests are normal and there is nothing I can do to better prepare my body. They've told me to just keep trying but to expect more losses on our journey to a baby. every pregnancy will have a 50/50 chance of success, so it's up to a flip of a coin

Well it looks like you are in good hands with all of those doctors. I wish you lots of , and ! Are you waiting on now?

I am actually 19 weeks pregnant at the moment. It took us 3 years worth of cycles to get here though. I have hung around this forum to see how all the other ladies have been doing and to offer support when anyone needs it!

To Dolphin - And can I ask what did it for You in the end? Correct diagnosis and treatment, or just mother nature? :)
Huge congratulations !

Haha! Not just mother nature as I don't think she likes me very much! If you take a look at my countdown page it lets you know what all we went through from beginning to end. But the last time it was clomid, ovidriel shot, and estrogen supplements. Lots of hard work to get to where we are at!

Hi everyone. I am on cycle 17/18 now and have had some fertility tests done. Some initial tests done by my GP showed no ovulation. My LH, FSH, Thyroid and Prolactin were all within normal range. Was sent to the local hospitals fertility clinic where an ultrasound and hsg came back clear. Now waiting on a new appointment with the specialist to see what the plan of action is. Good luck everyone :)

Hi ladies! Just came across this post and wanted to say hi, all of you seem to be going through so much but doing well supporting each other and I wanted to be a part of that :)
Me - 27, partner - 22, been TTC for 18 months now, after I came off the Pill my cycles were all over the place, it was really distressing coz I am SO CLUCKY I want to steal every baby I see! So it was upsetting when my body just didnt want to behave and be regular! Now seeing an ob/gyn who is having me take blood tests at Day 21 of each cycle to test that I have ovulated, and to check my HCG levels straight away. Got latest results yesterday, and YES to ovulation, NO to HCG :( if I'm definitely not pregnant this month, next step is to send my partner for another semen analysis (had one a year ago which was average) and send me for a HSG procedure. Also been seeing a naturopath who has put me on all kinds of remedies, pre-natal vitamins and hormone balancing vitamins, so something's gotta work soon, right?!
DS is 4 and is at the age now where he's asking all the time for a baby brother or sister, I'm so hoping we can give him one soon! I struggled getting pregnant with him also, took nearly 2 years, had a m/c at 6 weeks during that time, with no fertility issues with either me or his father (different partner to now), and found myself getting absolutely obsessed with TTC back then, so much I got severe depression when I wasn't falling pregnant and had to be on medication. I'm trying SO hard not to go down that road again, but once the time starts ticking on I can't help it, it's on my mind all the time!! I just hope if I'm not pregnant that my period comes soon so we can get on with the next tests we'll do and get on the road for having a baby!!

Hi Everyone,

I've definitely hit the point of wanting support from this team of ladies in my shoes. We've been working on a baby for 2 years this December. I'm 34 (turning the dreaded 35 on Saturday) and my husband is 33 turning 34 next Wednesday.

We've had zero luck (I thought) until last month when I got pregnant! But then I lost the baby at 6.5 weeks last week. Sad, indeed. Now that I've been through a known miscarriage, I think perhaps I had a loss in August as well, but just thought it was a really crappy period.

We started infertility screening in September. My husband's sperm is solid gold, so the finger is now pointing to me. I wasn't able to get my tests in October since instead I got pregnant, so I guess I will be getting those once things normalize.

I've been hopeless at times in the last 2 years, but somehow the miscarriage is making me feel hopeful. We did it once, we can make it stick next time.

Much support to all of you! Not happy to be here, but happy that this place exists nonetheless.
