So I got my transfer. We only transferred one because only one made it. Nothing to freeze. They will know for sure tomorrow but it looks like the others will not be good.

Basia, sorry you didn't get to freeze any. Prayers the one sticks and you have a bundle of joy in 9 months.

Basia - I'm sorry only one made it. Hopefully that is the one that you need for a healthy baby! How are you feeling about it all? and when would you get a positive pregnancy test if it worked - is it the same time frame as IUI?

AFM, I had my progesterone drawn this morning. Now, just waiting.

TTC - I'm so sorry you're going through this again. I just finished reading Spirit Babies by Walter Makichen and I recommend it. It had a great section on miscarriages and just overall made me feel better that it's not my fault this keeps happening.

Have you been tested for the MTHFR defect? I had the same situation as you so my doc suggested I get tested and I have it. It basically means I'm not getting enough Folic Acid in my body naturally (among other things) and it will be harder to have a fetus that grows.

While - I love your site. I read the comment you have from Barbara Kingsolver and it's sooo true!

Basia - I know you were hoping for twins but maybe this is your baby!! Good luck hun in the next two weeks!!

Hi ladies... I'm new to this particular topic... I have been trying to conceive since oct2013... Now on my third Clomid cycle... 32 yrs old.. This would be the first baby...
Reason I'm writing here is to find out if anyone has had success with IUI in the first go? I know it's tough... But my IUI will be scheduled during this cycle... I'm CD 3 today so there's some time before the IUI day... I'll be glad to hear some similar stories.

YOU GUYS! I JUST GOT THE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!! Of my 28 eggs, 19 of them were mature! Of the 19, 16 fertilized normally! WE HAVE 16 EMBRYOS RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I am over the moon!

@basia-I am SO sorry you did not get to transfer two. I am so thankful you had one make it though and that one is going to be the one for you guys! Congrats! You are pregnant until proven otherwise. I can tell you are disappointed, and you have every right to be. But you have one in you right now. Fingers crossed lady!! I just said a prayer for you :)

@mom-Welcome! DH and I did two unsuccessful IUI's. However, he has severe Male Factor Infertility. We had to move onto IVF, which we are in the middle of right now purely for that reason. I am pretty healthy and for the most part checked out fertility wise. Are you with a partner or using donor sperm? Assuming you are with a partner, has he been checked? I know a lot of women who have had successful IUI's on their first round. With clomid, your chances go up as you will probably have more than one egg for the sperm to get to. Good luck!
