@texas- Fertility meds are expensive. It is so stupid! I am sorry. My meds were $3900.00 :(

So for my IVF, I am on menopour and cetrotide. I will warn you about menopour....it burns!!!! I had NO idea, and was not warned, but yes it burns. I mean its totally bearable but still uncomfortable. Once its in, its fine. Cetrotide is a breeze, no issues. One day it gave me a welt, but that was it. Ovirdrel i used for my first two IUI's. The first one, i had an awful reaction to it. I bloated up like crazy and got sick off it. I was bloated for a good week. My second IUI i had it, and i was scared to take it again....however, i had NO reaction with it at all! So weird! I am not familiar with the others, but hopefully this will help!

Tk you!!!!i know I can not complain, it's just a year on Clomid plus donor sperm, plus iui cost....... why in hades did I not just switch sooner. Grr. I will try 3 iui with injectable then switch to ivf. This is just so disheartening.

@Kethreyes - I am getting mine tested on Friday, and if it's under 15 then I will get put on progesterone.

Also, I had a little pink discharge yesterday - not like a bunch of blood but a little - maybe from opening the cervix? not sure....

A bit of cramping and spotting is normal after IUI :) They probably irritated cervix during procedure.

so sorry to ask this but.. progesterone makes me super constipated (and I know that is normal) but how are you dealing with that girls? I just don't want to take any supplements, etc.

Hi Basia,

Yes, progesterone makes me constipated too.

Am DPO15 today. Don't feel pregnant at all, so I haven't even bother to test any more since my last -ve at DPO12. Just waiting for AF to start. :(

Basia have you tried prunes? That's about the safest way. If that doesn't work there is a "safer" product that your doctor can prescribe (or so I've been told)

Good morning ladies,

Basia - Prunes are known for helping things along and I've been told to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and exercise regularly as it apparently helps, at least thats what they told me when it happened to me.

I have a question for you ladies. Did you ever have to tell your employer that you are undergoing infertility treatment? And if so did it affect your job at all?
I don't know why but I feel, I guess ashamed is the best word or embarassed, about having to discuss this with them. The funny part is that with my friends and even with relative strangers I can discuss infertility but with people associated with my work I get a stress reaction. Anyway I just wanted to know if I'm the only one or not.
