Afm. I'm 7- 8dpo, seen a fertilty specialist this morning. Had an ultrasound and he said everything looks great but said my uterine lining was thick. I should've gotten a measurement. He gave me an order for an HSG to make sure tubes are clear and ordered blood work STAT, I'm hoping to get some results from that soon. Feeling crampy like AF is coming, but feeling exhausted like I could be prego. Bbt is plateau right above coverline, I'm feeling out this month already. Haven't tested as i know its too soon. Anyone else been told lining is thick? Is it indicative of pregnancy or just normal prior to Af? I'm on cd 22 of 29.

just wanted to update you guys. i got AF on 10dpiui. its incredibly early and i was incredibly sad. my doc said that its very rare to get AF so early on an IUI cycle. usually 12 days past is more common, so shes asked DH and i to consider another cycle. she thinks 3 is needed for a cumulative effect and to get a better picture/indication. so DH has agreed to do another round.

i agree with you cocoa, i think it's more a female choice because we are the ones who has to get stabbed, pricked and deal with everything else in between. i was quite miffed that DH did not want to initially do another round because i felt like "seriously, all you need to do is produce sample in a cup, and youre complaning its hard work??" but after a bit of talking we have decided to give it one more shot. after that we will definitely take a break.

i think the first cut is the deepest, so this first failed IUI was painful but now that that's over, i think if it fails again it wont be so bad.

cocoa i really hope things work out for you. taking a break is a good idea. i am looking forward to takng a break from ttc after this round. i feel like all the hormones and shots and medication is wrecking havoc on my body.

storm - sorry i have the total opposite issue, my lining is too thin, i have to get progesterone to support it during the entire cycle. but hey more lining, it seems to me thats better than too little!! all the best babe.

So my lining was 18 mm, my progesterone was 12, blood hcg was less than 1. What does less than 1 mean? Is what I asked. She said it's too early, if your 7 or 8 dpo then the egg is just starting to implant. So I'll be poas Friday if I can hold off. AF due tuesday.

Prima I'm so sorry to hear that, I was hoping the best for you. I did take vitamin e twice a day after o so maybe that helped my lining.

Primadonna - I'm so sorry that AF came for you. I understand how tough that is after everything we put into it. Enjoy a glass of wine and get ready for next cycle- Fingers crossed were joining the sickness club by the holidays.

Storm - The thicker lining the better as it helps the embryo implant. I got scanned regularly to check my lining was thick enough during IVF (If its below 10 I think it can cause some issues).

So I think we've decided to have another round of IVF next cycle (so in about 5 weeks time). I'm not sure if were doing the right thing as this is definitely our last go at it and we don't want to rush anything but also scared to wait in case my eggs deteriorate or DH's sperm count drops. I think I need to also be realistic that it might not work. I'll remain hopeful though - I guess if I wasn't hopeful about it I wouldn't be considering going through all those injections again...

Cocoa I'm really hopeful for you and I think another round is a great idea!

I gave in and tested this evening and BFN. I don't even know why I bothered, it's the poas addiction I suppose. But I've been cramping like AF is coming and really no other symptoms at this point. Plus my temp is on a down slope. I'm already considering plans for the next insemination. I'll poas again Friday morning, af due Oct 3. If I still have a negative I want to go out this weekend. Haven't had a sip of alcohol since the beginning of august! I think I'll need it this weekend lol

storm - i think cocoa is right, the thicker the lining, the more assistance it provides to the embryo. fx for you. vitamin E huh? im going to try that. as it is i am on omega 3 and folic acid, so no harm adding one more to the mix huh

cocoa -- i am thinking of you! there's no right or wrong i guess. i am on cd6 today and on femara. hopefully this is our time. i would do anything to get morning sickness.... sigh

Good morning, I took another hpt this morning with fmu. I swear I'm seeing a faint but it could be this generic brand or just my eyes playing tricks on me. I still feel crampy, bbt didn't drop or raise this morning, still above coverline, so idk what in the world is going on. I'm gonna try to forget about it for the rest of the day.

Prima I hoe this is your time too hun, you've been so patient! GL and yes vitamin E. I also read a thick lining could be some other issues that I don't even want to phantom me having right now.

Lol I'm sorry, I've been trying not to think about it. But unfortunately the witch came to me this morning. So on to cycle 3 of fresh. I think I've been inseminating too close to O day. I was inseminating in cd 14-16 and I steadily O on cd 15. This cycle I'm going to try earlier, cd 11-13 and possibly cd 14 too. I'm feeling really confident because I have an old friend that knows what's been going on. Her ex partner had a son two years ago, and they did AI at home. She's offered to help me with the syringe method.
