Hang in there lilith!
I'd be fuming Lisserb! This journey is difficult enough and to have them not follow through is the last thing you need. Hopefully you get in for your procedure in the next cycle!

AFM, CD 4. Doc upped my Clomid to 100mg/day. I O'd on 50mg/day last month on CD19 (normal), but I guess he just wants to see what happens? Maybe he wants to get rid of me...not going to lie, i kind of want to get rid of him too. Well...at least the "infertility specialist" part. At least one silver lining on Clomid, my period which is usually 7 days is looking like it might be a day or 2 shorter!

Ashley I am so glad that everything is okay. Those little scares are the worst!

Lilith, CD 12 isn't too early to still have a false negative. One of my pregnancies I didn't get a super faint positive until 15 DPO! General statistics show that the average day for first positive is 13.9 DPO. So you are not out yet! Keep up the hope.

Melissa, what a terrible experience! I hope that action is taken on whomever didn't log your cycles! I'm glad everything is working out with you not being able to do it until July, but what if you had been counting on June? They sound very disorganized. I can't wait for your IVF! I'm getting so impatient :)

Mrs F I completely agree with Melissa. Also... what is he going to do if you just take more progesterone for a couple extra days? Do you have enough of it to just extend it yourself? Progesterone will not hurt you if you take it longer. It can hurt if you don't take it long enough. And what is the big deal if your cycle is a few days longer? Why does it have to be his idea of a perfect length? Cycles can vary a lot in how long they are from person to person.

MrsK good luck with everything! This part of the cycle is so hard because you just sit and wait. At least with the first two weeks you are doing stuff like appointments and taking medications! It's harder to just sit and wait and feel like you can't do anything.

AFM CD 6 today. I started temping, yay! I don't know if the drugs and stuff will mess it up or whatever, but this is mostly a practice cycle. I'm practicing temping in case this IUI doesn't work and we're on our own. Then I can use temping and OPKs to track ovulation and know if I am ovulating without the Clomid.
The nurse practitioner didn't want to change up my drugs too much. I'm still doing 100 mg Clomid but we added an extra shot of FSH, and starting them earlier. I was good with that because what I wanted to happen was have an egg mature more quickly. Having the shot earlier in the cycle will help with that, and the extra dose two days later will help with trying to get a second follicle. So that's what I'm doing until next Thursday when I go for my ultrasound and see what everything is doing!

Hi ladies

I got another one of those 'kicked-in-the-stomach' group emails on Facebook to announce that another one of my friend group is expecting. That makes them all except me. They all get pregnant after cycle 1 or 2 ( and I know this because when I go to the showers they sit round and discuss how easy it was for them ). They all tell me that hubby and I should just get to it and how children are amazing and I just sit and smile and give excuses like doing work to the house etc... It's just so annoying that I've been going down this avenue long before any of them, and I think they're worried that I hate kids or something!

The worst thing is I want to be happy but just get a lump in my throat, then tears and then I hate myself more for the jealously I feel - cos I'm not a jealous person. I am truely super happy for everyone who doesn't have to go through all this really -it just takes me a while to appreciate that when I get another announcement! Lol

I have told my very close friend (who is PCOS and got pregnant cycle 2 and now has a gorgeous 14wk old boy who I am a very proud godmother to) but I don't want to discuss it with everyone else purely because I don't want them asking me about it as who knows what mood I'll be in at the time! I just think it would be impossible for them to understand...

I'm just so pleased to have found this forum - it's great to be able to vent it all out!

(I've just read this post back to myself and I sound like a complete b1*ch - sorry, I'm actually a nice person. I'll be ok again in a couple of hours! Lol)

Smee- I cannot tell you how many times I've scowled at pregnant women when out and about. Like...who does she think she is walking around all fertile!!?? lol
Then reality sets in and I feel the guilt that you've described. Maybe she had a hard time like I'm having now. But regardless, you're not a bad person, you're human. It happens. And ya know what else happens? Babies!!! Babies. Will. Happen. =)

Smee, I will tell you something really important. It's okay to be jealous! It's okay to be angry, and sad, and hurt, and everything that you are feeling. Never apologize to us for it. And you don't sound like a b*tch. We all have felt that way at one time or another. Especially when our friends have such an easy time getting pregnant! I remember wanting to punch something when my sister in law told me that it was taking SO LONG for her to get pregnant, and listened to her complain for an hour about it. Then I found out she had been trying for two and a half months! And she got her BFP a week later. I personally think that anyone who isn't mad or jealous or upset when stuff like that happens is crazy. It's much more sane to accept our feelings and get them out in a healthy way so that they don't poison our minds or made us bitter people.

I'm so glad you're here, too. We are always here to listen. So complain away!

Babies. Will. Happen. I like it!
BWH! - think I'll add that to my signature to remind me if a positive mantra! Lol

It's on days like these that I'd love a massive glass of wine (or gin) lol!

I drink the glass of wine when I feel like it. :) After 6 years, you get tired of living in two week increments of cans and can'ts, lol!

I was furious with my clinic, but unfortunately because it goes to a central desk, there is no way to know who specifically dropped the ball. It's worked out the way I wanted in the end, so I'm just going to move forward and forget about it. But I will most definitely be following up immediately after my next call in to make sure they got my message and recorded my date.

Smee, I agree with the other girls. This is the safe place to let the green eyed monster hang all out. I used to keep our issues to myself, but when it became apparent that it was going to be a lengthy struggle, I started saying to those who asked that it is not always as easy as it is supposed to be. I did get my fair share of those misinformed comments, but most people were content to just let it be after I said we were having some issues that were being looked into.

My worst experience was when my newly married brother and his wife said that they had planned on waiting, but had "oopsed" (on purpose, I'm sure) 3 months into their marriage. And then she found that she was actually 9 weeks pg and not 5 weeks, so they had "oopsed" for real the month before they said they did. That was just after I had been referred to the fertility clinic for the second time.

Hello Ladies,

I have 2 questions.

-Is it bad to have an Orgasm during the 2WW? I'm 3 DPO. I had one & I am terrified right now!

-Also, I forgot to start my progesterone last night, should I be worried about anything if I just start it tonight? Should I contact my doctor?

Thanks ladies!
