Hi ladies!
This is my second cycle of clomid 50mg cd 5-9 i actually finished my second round on 11 Jun. Took my opk's and finally got my positives as you can see on my pics :). I didn't get any positive opk's last month but maybe I had to wait for the Clomid to kick in. Anywho, I love hearing the success stories you have had on clomid as you can tell from my ticker we have been waiting patiently for a quite some time lol. Best of luck to you all in your Journey..Hope for a real soon!!

Well took a pregnancy test today and :( Went for a sonogram today to see if I ovulated on the 50mg and will hear next week if I did. I don't feel like AF is coming but I am really starting to think that my body likes to just play games.
I am thinking about buying a Clearblue fertility monitor, any thoughts? Has anyone used these before?

Stevennmattsmom - I bought the clearblue fertility monitor about a year ago. I was having very irregular cycles though and you're not meant to use it when your cycles are over 42 days. I found it useful however as the months went by as I used it to monitor improvement rather than ovulation initially. It's very simple to use and tells you when to do the tests so you can't go wrong really.
It's wasn't showing a peak for me originally, but then I eventually did peak on my own a few times according to the monitor. However, November 2012 to February 2013 I also had blood tests to see if I was ovulating and these all came back negative even though the monitor was picking up a peak. My hormone levels where all over the place, so my body wasn't really working properly at all - which was evident from the monitor as there were no 2 months the same pattern!
I also used it on my last cycle when I took clomid for the first time (which again it's not really recommended for) and this time it peaked at the right time, my temperature chart was showing all the right things and I got pregnant this time.
It's quite expensive around £100 and then the test sticks are about £20 for 20 sticks (which would last 2 months if your on a regular average cycle). But I got my monitor which included 4 months worth of sticks from an online pharmacy for £60 - so it's worth having a look round online for a good deal. And you can get the sticks for a lot less too.
I suppose the good thing about it is there is no guess work involved and you don't kid yourself into seeing lines that may or may not be there like on the regular OPKs, because it gives you a reading of low, medium or peak. It's like everything else though, just another tool and you have to decide whether it would work for you or whether it may cause more stress by needing to pee on a stick for upto 20 days per cycle, and potentially seeing a peak and thinking you got it this time, only to be disappointed when AF comes.
Hope that helps.
