Had an ultrasound this morning. My left ovary is a complete slacker....3 little follicles (like, a size 6?) but nothing...RE called it "lazy." However, my RIGHT ovary is a rock star. One follicle, and it's a 22. I'll perfect and round and lovely. (This is what happens when I get to see the screen.) I don't think I've ever had a follicle that size. I'll have to ask the nurse when she calls me with instructions this afternoon.

Plus, I peed on an OPK strip this morning and had a faint line. I think my body FINALLY understands what it's supposed to be doing. So - HCG shot tonight, IUI on Thursday.

I leave you with this: It's not every day you hear you have a lazy ovary.

So AF ended up showing up on the 16th the day before my birthday.worst present ever. So depressed then I find out the next day that my sister-in-law that I'm not to fond of has here third baby on my birthday. All I want to do is have a baby and I just feel like I'm a failure.

conleykr2 I am sorry to hear that :( I understand the pain. AF started for me on Friday and then I had a baby shower on Saturday. It was horrible. A lovely shower, but I was really unhappy being there. I am almost at the point of thinking it just won't happen. We will still try for the rest of our lives if need be, but I am losing that fire of hope.

Ugh. Baby showers are the worst. On one hand, you're genuinely happy for your friend...but on the other hand, you think: "This should be ME." It's awful. I say some pretty hurtful things in my head when faced with those.....those and FB pregnancy announcements.
Oh...and I love the "We were trying for SO long to have a baby."
Oh reeeeeeeally? How long exactly? Can you count the number of failed cycles on both hands and feet and now you're working on your husband's hands and feet?

Ok. Rant over. I feel better now.

Mrs Flasche, I'm glad to hear some good news. I hope this is your month!

Conleykr2- I know how you feel as well. Its so frustrating to fail month after month when for all of my friends it was the easiest thing they have ever done. I too feel like a failure.

My Dr. called on my husbands bday and told me he is referring me to an endocrinologist. I feel like there really is something wrong with us now. For a long time I told myself that it was prob just a hormonal imbalance that would just work itself out but it's been a year and it's not working itself out. My first apt is 10/7 and I'm a bit nervous. I guess I'm afraid of what he might tell us but I guess it will be a good thing to finally get some answers. The not knowing part really sucks.

Stevenandmattsmom- Did you go to your appt yet with the endo? Just wondering what it was like. I have no idea what to expect.

Looks like I'm in for another looooong cycle. I should be 15 days into my latest cycle, yet i'm still waiting for AF to show up. I've done 2 tests in the 15 days I've been waiting for AF and they were both negative.

And to top off my agony of twiddling my thumbs and waiting for AF to show, my partner is away with work until early to mid December after leaving at the start of September. The world is a b###h and is throwing just about every hurdle/stumbling block the TTC journey has our way.

As much as it saddens me to see and hear of so many people getting pregnant, are heavily pregnant or have just had babies - I want to here some good news from everyone here. So who has some good news for me?

OH I'll be doing my 3rd test sometime after the 12th of October.

I've chosen to put testing again on the back burner for a bit so I can focus on getting things at home ready for some friends to move in with us for a while and do the charity 4wd trip (for breast cancer) on the 12th.

So I went to my first appt with the endocrinologist yesterday and it was pretty disapointing. He didn't really offer any new info or insight into why this is happening to me at age 29. I have an HSG scheduled for Thursday. I am looking forward to that. I have been having alot of weird pains around my ovaries so I'm hoping that it will show what is causing that. They also want to do a SA on DH hopefully this week. So at least we will be getting some new insight. They are giving me Femara but I just missed my window to start taking it so I will have to wait till next cycle. Anything new with any of you? Hope you all are doing well out there.

Hi girls. Just got back from a holiday which was fantastic! Some well needed rest and relaxation. My fertile window was in the middle of that time so we were able to catch it really well. Lots of energy which helped. Lots of fertile cm too which is unusual for me too!

While away three friends had babies. Another one about to pop too. Two friends on this site also announced BFPs. Here's hoping this will be a good month for us too!

MammaD29 I know how you feel about the specialist visit. Ours was a bit disappointing as we didn't find out anything I didn't already know. All that came of it was starting on the clomid! But I must say, that really has helped keep me more regular! I am ovulating on average CD16 with clomid.

Courtly I am really hoping that you have a stubborn BFP round the corner! Yes, you do need to protect your emotional wellbeing by not expecting it, but it would be so nice to have a surprise! Especially with your husband being away for so long. That will be hard :(
