Is it safe for me and DH to try for a baby while DH is taking the antidepressant Amitriptyline?
DH is taking the antidepressant Amitriptyline 20mg to help him sleep but is it safe for him to take while we are trying for a baby?could is cause an problems if i were to fall pregnent?

If he is taking it, it wouldn't effect you if you are pregnant. What I think it could effect is the mobility/quality of his sperm, which could make it hard for you to concieve. If damaged sperm fertilized your egg, it could result in misscarage, but its unlikely damaged sperm would be able to fertilize you at all. For the best info, you should talk to his doctor. The Dr. could give you a different but similar medication if this one is bad for your husband while ttc. Good luck!
