I say test it out if you have lots of cheapies laying around. Mine was usually gone by 8 dpo. Lots of luck and prayers to you ladies this cycle!

Allison, I test out the trigger. I used to do one each day, but I think I'll do one every other day or so until it's gone. My lines are usually visible till about 8dpo and I've had them come back as early as 11dpo on the cheap tests.

For whatever reason, I'm feeling a lot of hope for this cycle. I can really feel both ovaries, so I'm hoping that I will ovulate from each side. I've read a lot of things that say when there is a missing tube, the other one will actually reach for the opposite ovary up to 30% of the time, so there is definitely a possibility that I could have two eggs heading for the left tube. My plan is to get as many swimmers in there as we can. The last few S/A's have shown between 90 and 180 million total count, so if we get around 400-600 million in there, we've gotta have as good a chance as 13 millon post wash.

I actually think this may be one of the longest TWW's ever, because there is a good chance that all of the above will happen, but there is also a chance that I'll only O on the right and it won't find the tube at all.

I'm thinking positive though!

Melissa- How awesome would that be? I will be hoping and praying that you get both eggs. That's the beauty of bd'ing, you get to stock pile the swimmers! Are you temping?

Heartbeat- I wouldn't worry at all if I were you, you had a great number at 14dpo so I think you're good to go. My clinic doesn't normally do betas earlier than 16dpo and then they do a second on 18dpo. After that, I think they make you wait a week. Perhaps you should request to go in and do another just to put your mind at ease. If they say no, demand it. You shouldn't have to worry at all and it's their job to put you at ease.

Also, the nurse who gave me my results said she would have been pleased with anything over 50 so it just goes to show how much they can vary

Nope, unless it splits . I really believe in divine intervention these days. I went in on day 3 for a transfer of 2 embryos but realized when I got there that I had failed to start the progesterone after my retrieval (I misread the instruction sheet) so my doctor said it would be best to to a single embryo transfer on day 5 instead. I feel that maybe had I transferred 2 embryos I would wind up with twins which I would be happy with but also a little scared for the future as I don't know if I could handle it as well as other moms. I also already have a 3 year old busy boy so 2 newborns would be VERY hard lol. So maybe in a strange way God made it so that I would mess up the progesterone and only transfer one lol. Who knows. So ya, if there are two in there then it is very meant to be!

Also, my numbers would be a lot higher! I am on an IVF forum with two ladies who transferred 2 embies and did their second betas and the number quadrupled. One girl has a beta just over 2000 at 17dpo! definitely twins!

Lower betas or higher betas don't necessarily mean singletons or twins. My friend had twins (identical girls from IVF) and her 16dpo beta was 307. Another friend who is pg with surprize fraternal twins had a result at 5 weeks 5 days (27dpo) that was 2910.

Allison, I read your blog tonight. I just got diagnosed with a clotting disorder too. Hetero factor V Leiden. I take a baby aspirin daily now also. Crazy how similar we are right now. :)

I know I have responded to any of your posts. It's only because me and my husband are not there yet. We just started seeing a fertility specialist even though we have been trying two years this month. My old doctor said there policy was a two year wait. I did not realize you could ask for a referral. Makes me sick I waited this long. But anyways I have not responded bc I'm not familiar with trigger shots and all the other types of medicine. I didn't want any of you to feel like I'm only typing when I have a question or something to report. It's been a slow process, all blood work is normal for both hubby and I. Tomorrow we will wait for the dreaded HSG test!!!!

Good luck and hopefully we will have a plan tomorrow so. Can jump in on the conversations!
