does blood affect a pregnancy test

Does blood affect a pregnancy test? I’m spotting but only 9dpo. I took a test and I’m person something is definitely there but faint however idk if I should trust the test. I don’t want to buy an frer unless I’m sure I’m pregnant. EDIT: I’m not using blood. There there blood in my pee when I collected to test
