I thought you may find this interesting...A gene linked to reocurring miscarriages
My husband and I are wanting to try again but I've gone through two and a half years of hell figuring that I'm damaged goods and shouldn't. My first son (I was 24) has Down Syndrome and at 3 diagnosed with Autism, My daughter is also on the spectrum, I've had two miscarriages. Through my research I came up with extensive info from the Autism Research Institute. I had the doctor's run bloodwork and I found one issue (protein C deficiency). But they wouldn't check my vitamin levels or what I was really curious about which was heavy metals and a gene called MTHFR. I take my son to a woman who's more holistic and asked her to test him and it came back positive. I was able to then get my docs to check me and I had it worse than him. The point is, this gene inhibits the methylation process (folic acid/b vitamins) andI need the right ones as regular folic acid is actually more harmful. You need the active forms and higher doses plus usually baby aspirin. hope this helps someone!
