Feeling Like a failure
Since yesterday I have been feeling like a total failure at being a wife a mom, just everything. My husband and I are at each other's throats yet again. Again, I'm getting the bad end of the stick and we're only at throats because of my mother in law and her wanting to drug my son on antidepressants. He just threatened to walk out on us all. So here I sit, literally in tears again because of this situation. It'll be a miracle if I even conceive this cycle with all this stress lately The fight was a continuation from yesterday. Today apparently my mother in law apologized to my husband but she insulted me and she can't apologize to me at all.

How old is your son? My only thought that may or may not help- is you could sit down with your son and your husband and have an open conversation with them both and let everyone discuss their thoughts, concerns and possible solutions to his depression. It’s such a difficult subject, but if he’s old enough- it may help all of you to have your sons thoughts on it. Then maybe you could all work together to find the solution that everyone can feel good about.I'm so sorry that your mil Is putting this stress on you and your relationship. Stay strong- he’s your son! Lots of hugs, and I hope everything works out and that you feel better about it all soon!

Kahlan- He's 10. He has a lot going on in his life and mil doesn't even get what we went through (me, and the 2 oldest sons). I talked to him and said now you see why I can never get along with her and even trust her. He gets why. She also doesn't want us having more kids and said one of us has to get snipped. She's out of her elderly mind.
