Crazee 10 years!
It's been 10 years on the Crazee TTC journey and I'm still trying. 5 1/2 years ago I gave birth to a Miracle and have had no luck since. I'm 38 but I still long to give my child a sibling, so It keeps me going. Just recently I have started seeing a Funtional Fertility Specialist that deal with things on a more natural level. Come to find out both me and my husband carry the mthfr gene mutation. He is a double carrier and I'm compound hetero for c677t and a1298. We have both completely changed our diets and cut out Gluten and Synthetic folic acid in foods and supplements. Taking a baby aspirin a day and start Progesterone right after confirming O. My husband will also be on clomid for lowish Testosterone. With all these lifestyle changes I am super Hopeful for the first time in a long time! Advocate for yourself. I'm on a Ttc with mthfr page and there or women with this mutation that could never carry a pregnancy without lovenox or aspirin. How hard is it for Regular Dr's to make this part of an infertility workup? Also watch your Thyroid. Don't just let them run a TSH. Make them run a full panel for a full picture. It should be a tsh, free t3 and t4 a reverse t3 and a antibodies test. Your tsh shouldn't be over 2.5 while ttc and needs to be monitored if you do get pregnant to make sure it doesn't go up. These little things that Dr's should keep up with. I'd suggest everyone ditch regular Ob's if they have been trying a long time and all they hear I'd ivf. Find a Napro Dr or Funtional Medicine Dr who actually gives a crap. Took me 5 years on trying again, and visits to RE's and multiple obs with no one wanting to dig deeper as to why we weren't able to get pregnant. Anyway. To my old friends from the last 10 years. I WISH you all happiness!
