Question

I cannot wrap my mind around this!

Folks - tomorrow cannot come quick enough! I have an ultrasound in the morning because - - - there is an alien in my belly.

Last Tuesday, prior to any Thanksgiving feasting, I felt a couple pops in my lower abdomen, mostly in one spot. Thought what any not pregnant woman would think, that it was digestion. Feeling continued getting stronger for a couple days. On Thanksgiving day, I felt a roll sensation - and thought “wow, that felt like baby kick” and then just thought I’d be going to the restroom soon.

Felt it a lot that day, and was thinking, “Maybe I have a blockage?” When we got home from Thanksgiving dinner, I felt another roll. I know from my two previous pregnancies that quickening begins around 16-20 weeks. I looked at my app that I use to track my cycles, and 16 weeks ago, I had a faint positive pregnancy test (okay maybe like 10 faint positives). My period was late, and but my blood test came back negative and the next day I started bleeding. It was a chemical pregnancy, by definition. Life went on, and my cycles were normal and we have not done the baby dance since then...

But knowing that the timing works out - I thought, "what if I am? Nooooo...” Couple days pass, and I’m still feeling it (a little stronger) and decide that I need to tell my husband. If I put it out there in the universe, surely it will go away. My husband was worried and encouraged me to reach out to my Dr. I called on Sunday and thankfully she returned my call a couple hours later. Since her office was closed she had me feel around the spot I was feeling the sensation. “My gut tells me hernia or strained muscle” and I was relieved and I joked that since I spoke to her, and massaged it, now it would go away. She asked me to keep a detailed journal of the feelings. What I had eaten, was I sitting, standing, laying down, etc. The next day, the feeling moved to below my belly button! I felt flutters, pop and a roll. My eyes grew wide, and I just thought - OH MY! I must be really tuned in because she told me to keep notes, right? This must be digestion, right? Right?!!

I start taking notes. Tuesday night (now happening for one week) I was at the movie with my friends, and focusing on getting my kids settled in with their snacks. I sat down and focused in on the screen and took a bite of my pretzel. I felt - a couple pops - a push out/roll - and a flutter. An alllllll over tingle surged my body... I documented the feeling, and noted that I was NOT thinking about my alien, at all.

My Dr. referred me to get an ultrasound to rule out pregnancy before she can treat a hernia/spasm and the soonest I could get one is Friday (tomorrow) morning.

What do you think it will be???

Sounds like you could be growing an alien! Can you go out and get a preg test? If you are that far along there should be plenty of hcg in your urine at any time of the day.

It is not common but some women bleed randomly throughout their pregnancies with no harm to the baby. No sure reason why.
I believe you could be pregnant, its possible you conceived twins but lost one?
Good Luck

I had some at home and they were negative. I read that you can exceed the hcg on a test, and it could show negative too. And some women can’t get a positive on a test throughout their entire pregnancy. My blood test was really early, but I’m just living in wonderment right now. It has still be happening, more throughout the day now rather than just at night. Flutters happening right now, in fact.

Yes! Not pregnant but I have a cyst (she said it’s ping pong ball sized and normal) that is pushing on my ligaments. The tightening of my ligaments is causing my uterus to have all these twinges and also I’m probably feeling the ligaments twinge.

So, kind of bummed and kind of relieved.

Thank you ALL for your support yesterday, it was nice. The sonographer mentioned she’s had two ladies that have the same experience in the last year.

Hey that makes perfect sense. Some of those cysts can really wreak havoc. I'm so glad it wasn't something more serious.
