Shay, so the opk seem to be a good option, if you have irregular cycle...

I repost my gallery post here: I know these tests are negative. And my CBFM stayed low. But comparing with my last month opk, I've realised something: they started to darken at the same time (circa CD 22-23), so there is a pattern anyway. And I forgot to take CBFM tests at the beginning of my cycle. I read somewhere that Clearblue OPK catch the LH at >30 miu/ml, those are 25. On CD 23, I felt like a sharp stabbing pain on my right side and my boobs are killing me since.
I was wondering if it's possible that my body works with less LH levels than others, and that there is a possibility I had ovulated. What do you think?

I'm going to join this one even though I'm not so sure that this will be my month. I'm 8dpo and we're trying for our first, my EDD would be late May. This is our first month trying too so I feel like a BFP is unlikely.

@cornflakegirl I was using opks before we started trying because my cycles were getting really irregular. I could never get a full strength positive with the cheapies. So maybe you are actually ovulating on those days?

@kait0614 Welcome When are you planning to test?

Maybe. I dug a bit tonight, and I read that some women, particularly overweight ones, like me, produce less LH. And that the surge is more important, all in all, than the peak to predict ovulation, especially with cervical mucus checking (mine was weird, just really liquid).
For the moment, I think I will stop opk testing and wait for AF or BFP, even if I think the former is a more plausible event than the latter. If AF comes, I'm going to ask my Obgyn to track my next cycle. If this one is normal and I don't get pregnant that month, I will buy more sensitive test, 20 mlu/ml instead of 25.

@cornflakegirl That sounds like a good plan. Weight has played a factor for me too. I did cave and test out of curiosity already... BFN of course. My luteal phase is only 12 days so I should know soon enough.
