It shouldnt matter how late u O becuz u wont O until the egg is matured enough to burst out of the follicle. The lp matters, for sure, the longer the lp, the better chances ur implanted egg has of not being flushed with menses.

The later in the cycle you ovulate, the worse the quality of the egg will be. I went to a fertility clinic because I never ovulate on my own and when I first started Clomid I ovulated really late and was unsuccessful. My doctor said I most likely did not get pregnant that cycle because the quality would have been so poor since I ovulated extremely late.
