TTC: 13 cycles

Sophie - I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I am actually in the same boat and i know how frustrating it is. My Husband was diagnosed with 0% sperm morphology which means all his sperm are shaped abnormal. He had varicocele surgery at the begining of August. We go next month to see if it helped at all. This might be something you ask your doctor about. I don't know if it has worked for us yet but I'm holding hope this will help. Atleast enough to do IUI since IVF is so expensive.

back from surgery, feeling a bit rough,but had a great sleeplol i had alot of endo the dr said but he managed to clear the tubes so i will be ttcing in about a week as that is o time, got please let this be it.please,please,please.....

I have been MIA from this post as I was having wishful thinking. I got a BFP on October 20th (my birthday). I was optimistic until 10-28-2011 when I started having pain and spotting. I went into the ER 10-30-2011 with tons of pain in my lower right abdomen, back, and right leg. To make a long story short the ER wasn't very pleasant to me and it took me a whole week to get an answer from my OBGYN. They found what they think may be a cyst on my right side or could be eptopic when they did scans 10-30-11. They just told me this today 11-4-11!! So I am haveing a miscarriage to go with all the pain as well and I have to go in again today for another scan. So I hope you will still have my as part of this group even though I went MIA early on in the discussion.

dolphin1204, I'm so sorry to hear that! That is awful. Well I hope you are taking some time to relax and grieve before you jump back into busy life again.

I don't think any of us have been on here in a bit so don't worry about going MIA.
How are you doing now? That must have been so exciting to see the BFP, you will see it again, don't lose all hope! We're here for you! : )

Well I went in for another scan on 11-4-2011. My OBGYN's nurse said they saw two spots on my right ovary. They are not sure exactly what we are looking at. Could be ectopic or cyst. I go in today for another scan and blood test. After that my OBGYN will finally see me after I get done with the scan and test.

I have been bleeding heavily for a week now with pain off and on. I can not wait until this is all over!!

I will keep you all posted on what I find out!

Well I finally got some answers yesterday. It is an ectopic pregnancy so i got the Methotrexate shot last night and am currently waiting for anything to happen... It is good to know what is actually happening but it is a far more scary situation at the same time.

Dolphin Girl -- Wishing you strength & speedy healing with all that you're going through. Ectopics ARE scary. And of course having to wait for all the answers had to make it worse. Feel better soon, OK? And then baby dust for when you can start TTC again.

Melina -- First, welcome!! Years ago I had depo shots. Now that I'm having such a hard time TTC I can't help but wonder if it had some kind of impact on my fertility. But my RE didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I hope this is your month!!

Elizabeth -- awesome to hear you liked your RE It makes such a big difference when you work with a dr. that works with you! It sucks about the "unexplained infertility" logo, doesn't it? I'm in the same boat and feel if I knew the reason things are working so that there can be a plan to fix it and the whole process wouldn't feel so helpless & up in the air! Have you started Clomid yet? This is my 2nd month.

Quirkmom -- fight until you find a dr who will help you! There's bound to be one out there. Don't give up. In the meantime, you are NOT out of place. Happy to have you!!

AFM. October was a bust. Clomid wreaked havoc on my system. Totally couldn't tell what was happening with my body. When I went for my day 21 U/S they found a large cyst on the same follicle that was mature on day 10....couldn't tell if I o'd at all. Add in the fact I had no positive OPKs all month and that came early on top of everything, you can imagine I was frustrated!! Saw my RE last week to plan this month's attack and increased the amount of days I take the Clomid, not the dose. Trying something is better than nothing, right? We'll see how this month goes.

Thanks mrsboudreault for your kind words! I have been feeling better and better every day! How are you doing? Clomid is an interesting drug and treats everyone differently.

A quick update on me. I had an appt and bloodwork yesterday. My levels went from 148 to 55 in one week so the doctor is confident that the shot worked. I have to go back in next Monday and it will possibly be my last time having to go in. I think my stress level went way down after yesterday! So we have some decisions to make in the next few months on the doctor situation, stay with my OBGYN, change OBGYNs, or go to a specialist... But we are definatly going to TTC as soon as we are able. One odd thing, my doctor didn't seem too worried about the 3 month wait after the shot like I have been hearing so many say... Kinda threw me off after hearing so many stories of the importance of waiting at least 3 months to try again.

hi dolphingirl! glad to hear you're feeling better and that your Doc thinks the shot worked. How did the follow up appointment go? I have no idea how long you need to wait after to start TTC again, but if your Doc is giving you the green light -- I say go for it!! I know how hard it is to wait yet another month, let alone 3!!

This month is better for me. I had an idea of what to expect with the clomid and think I timed our BD's perfectly . So now all I have to do is get through the dreaded 2ww. 3dp today. 11 to go! I have a day 21 u/s & b/w next week to be sure I o'd. But did catch my LH surge with OPK & I've never had an anovulatory cycle. Fingers crossed!

How's everyone else out there?

I'm new to this whole thing, posting anyways, but I've been watching it all for quite awhile... We had no issues with our first son, but can't seem to get that second down. We've had all the test done and results are DH has low sperm count and I have one tube, but we had these issues before our son. We are trying for two more cycles after this one (8 dpo) then starts the fertility treatments :( in the past 2 years, 4 of my cousins have had babies and I'm happy for them but I can't help but cry and ask god y not me! One of my cousins has mental health problems and can not take care of herself much less a baby! Another one has drug addiction issues, the baby came out addicted to methadone! I'm sorry this is so long, but I can't really vent to anyone about this other then DH and he is tired of hearing the same things over and over! my 3rd cousin got pregnant with a one night stand! And it makes me cry everytime I c previews for teen mom or 16 and pregnant! Anyways baby dust to all of us and thank you for giving me somewhere to vent! Lol if there's anyone in the same shoes as me let me know, I'd love to hear from u...
