16 Week Ultrasound Update

For those of my friends still following me....

I had a scare over the weekend with light spotting. Went to the hospital where I was told I had full placenta previa, where the placenta was completely covering the cervix.... which isn't good. Well, turns out the people in that hospital are idiots because I saw my genetic counselor for a 16 week ultrasound and I do NOT have complete or even partial previa, just low lying previa, where the placenta is really close to the cervix, but not covering it at all. This is great news because she believes as the baby and uterus grows, it should pull the placenta even further out of the way, causing no complications except for very light, spontaneous bleeding. I am to be on bedrest for any bleeding until up to 48 hours after there is NO bleeding/spotting. I believe the spotting as stopped today, so hoping to be off bedrest for work Monday.

Baby is perfectly healthy!!!!!!!!!! And.... it's a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are SOOOOO thrilled and just couldn't be happier about our healthy baby boy <3
