Cramping after sex

So the last couple times iv had sex iv had very painful cramping as soon as i have an orgasm the other time iv felt this is when iv been pregnant now my period is 18 days late and iv had off and on symptoms but the doctor told me i wasnt pregnant and to wait until my next period before going back so my question is does anyone else have this? Is it a sign of pregnancy or can you get this when your not pregnant?
