Question

Does having ONE abnormal period effect your ovulation?

I always have regular periods (begining of the month, 28 days apart, same symptoms, same amount of days ect) but this month I started my period 22 days after my last, and it went on for 9 days with a ton more PMS symptoms. Anyway I used the ovulation calculator on here, do you think it would be accurate? Do periods go back to normal after one abnormal period? I'm so confused and my fiace and I are TTC! Thank you!

What I have learned is that the normal is really a span of days, i.e. 26-32 can be considered normal cycle length. I wouldn't worry too much. I've had plenty of normal 28 day cycles then one weird one in between with an O date later or earlier than normal. Just keep monitoring your cycle and symptoms. I know for me, although AF is almost the same pre and post birth control, there are small differences.
