She just gave me a prescription? She said if I wasn't pregnant in three months she would schedule an ultrasound.... the rx was only $9.00 but no, I am not scheduled for any blood draws or anything? Should I schedule an appt for 21 days and see if they will do a progesterone check?

Thanks so much 2Frsty! That makes me feel a lot better! I worried my husband when I mentioned the pains. They seem to have settled down now but I suppose I can expect them back. Trying not to be paranoid about anything. Still want to avoid medical people for another week!

millbarnett I think the way some medical people administer clomid is incredibly dangerous. I had to have estradiol blood tests and a follicle scan the first time I had clomid. Otherwise the risk of either OHSS syndrome and/or multiples can be far too high. We have had a girl on this forum have that and she needed to be hospitalised. We don't know how she is now as she hasn't returned :( Estradiol tests before ovulation are far more important than progesterone afterward. The progesterone just confirms you ovulated. If you can get an estradiol test beforehand, do it. They liked to do mine on Cd12 and then every two days if it was low. Of course you might be absolutely fine, but it is a risky drug.

So if I decide to use preseed this cycle, do I still need to use something like EPO, I dont know what the clomid will do to my cm , but just want to be prepared.... I take a multivitamin and just bought maca for my husband.... any tips would be great!

We didn't need to use preseed around my ovulation time at all as I had plenty of cm. I didn't notice any difference in that when on clomid. Make sure you drink plenty of water as that makes a huge difference.

millbarnett--> I would recommend both the PreSeed AND the EPO. It's one of those things that "most" women don't need, but it covers the bases just in case. EPO doesn't change your cm (in my experience) but it helps to soften the cervix and help DH's little spermies get where they're going easier!

Day 3 on the Clomid this cycle. I've been HUNGRY on it this cycle! I hate taking this stuff! Every month it's a new ball of wax as far as my symptoms go. I don't get the "normal" O symptoms or TWW symptoms. I get the weird ass ones. Like a headache that lasts 17 days. Or heartburn that lasts a week (I went through 3 gallons of milk in a week last cycle) or the munchies. The only one that's constant is the effing MOOD SWINGS! Why can't my body be like "normal" women who get pregnant on a whim?? Oh well. Hope everyone had a great night!

How is everyone today?

I have nothing new going on. Each day I get a little bit more excited as the risk of miscarriage decreases. Tomorrow I am going to ring my fertility specialists and tell them the news. I have no idea what they will say or how much more I will have to do with them, especially since we got pregnant without their help in the end!

They may want to keep track of your progress until the 1st trimester is past, when the risk of miscarriage drops to below 1%. I'm so stoked for you! I had a feeling that it would happen for you as soon as y'all both relaxed and just had fun!
AFM: CD 7 today. Temping has become almost impossible; my son insists on waking up right around the time I have my alarm set. His schedules are so erratic lately. I guess I'll keep trying to temp but I'll have to try to rely on opks.

Ha ha 2Frsty there was no such thing as "just having fun" for us. I had to work extremely hard to get my hustand to TTC on both ovulation day and the day before! He was tired and uninterested so I had to pull out all the stops to seduce him! I knew when I was ovulating so couldn't bear to miss an opportunity even if I knew there was only a small chance for conception.

I am feeling a bit down today. I called the doctors to sort out blood tests etc. Turns out I go back to my GP and just have to let the fertility specialists know when/if I reach 12 weeks. My GP will post out blood forms so I don't have to go in (phew). But while on the phone to the nurse there she suggested I take some time off when I reach the point I miscarried last time. That really worried me because I hadn't thought that would make any difference. She said that women usually miscarry at the same point so if I get past that I should be fine. Well, now I am going to be even more stressed until I pass it! This is why I didn't want to tell ANYONE even my doctor about it. I am also worried about what the blood tests will show. Everything could be fine, but who knows...

Taking my last pill today, and haven't felt any different these last few days? Will I feel most of the crazee symptoms around ovulation? Also, if today is my last pill, when can I start using an opk and get an accurate reading? I am trying not to get too excited, but I just can't get past hoping that I could be one of those ladies that see a bfp the first time! Will be using preseed through my fertile period! Going be drinking lots of water.... also started temping today, sowe shall see what happens!

If you haven't had any symptoms yet then you probably won't get too many. On 50mg I didn't feel anything round ovulation, but on 100mg I had cramping for a week before. Don't start using OPKs until 5 days after your last pill as you can get false positives.
