Next step after clomid for us in New Zealand is also IVF. I got the letter saying we are officially on the list now, so that is good! It is really exciting thinking that in October or November we might get pregnant again!!! Really can't afford to get my hopes up too high though. Having a sister in law who has been through her first round of IVF with two embryo transfers and both failed, I know how stressful it is. It is certainly not a quick fix. She could be doing her next cycle in September so if it works we could both be pregnant at very similar times and stages!!!

I am on day 7 of my current cycle. temp is all over the place due to my terrible sleeping habits! Slept well last night so it was very high this morning! I know it will settle closer to ovulation.

congrats Bella83! that is very exciting news for you!!! I hope it sticks!

2Frsty I am glad/sad for you about AF. It is such a mixed feeling isn't it? I hope this one works for you. When will you find out if you are going to go up in dose? My doctor made that call while I was still in the middle of a cycle and said if I wasn't pregnant then to take 100mg the next cycle.

Firsttimemommy30 you are so funny. Impatiently waiting to test early :) The first week is always so hard when every feeling you know can't be pregnancy yet, but you still can't help hoping!

Shelob--> I have a very hard time getting a consistently accurate temperature due to my sleeping as well. Only for me it's having a restless, teething baby who needs his pacifier (dummy?) put back in his mouth sometimes a dozen times a night. And considering DH is a soldier and has to be up at 4:00 I can't bring myself to ask him to do it. DH and I have an appointment with the specialist on the 15th. I'm going to hope that they can try Femara this time. It's got great reviews and I'm really hopeful. We found out DH may be deploying to Korea a bit earlier, so I don't want to screw around too long. The Clomid turns me into a raging bitch, and I've read that Femara doesn't have as severe of side effects!

i often have difficulty with temps as im a nurse and find that i have a restless sleep when im working in the morning.

Working in a hospital is a benefit but also bad cos i can order my own blood tests for hcg before i probably should :( i think if i was in the same situation as most people i wouldnt be able to test till af was due and would probably assume my 2 misscarriages were just af. Im my own worst enemy!

Don't be too hard on yourself! I'd do the same exact thing! I know I would, without a doubt!

So I have a friend who just had IUI done yesterday...I'm so stoked for her! We were pregnant together last time but she m/c early at 7 weeks. It was a long time til she was able to have a lot of contact with me, just because it was painful for her! I felt terribly guilty, even though I knew it wasn't my fault! Praying for her sticky little bean!!

Thanks 2frsty :) Hope your friend gets her bfp! After both my miscarriages i avoided public areas where i knew there would be lots of children (particularly teenagers with several kids in tow. I found that to be particularly painful) I also avoided my siblings and their young children for a bit. That made me feel guilty as i know that its not their fault but i felt that i had to look after myself first.

A friend just told me she is pregnant last night. On the one hand I am ecstatic for her as she is in her 40s and absolutely wanted a child for the past 20 years. On the other hand she was really apologetic about it as she was most definitely NOT trying because she is not married and her beliefs have always been very strongly against sex before marriage. It was very hard for her to tell me because she knows the awful struggle we are going through. I can't find it in myself to be too unhappy with her though as I know her struggle has been longer than mine in trying to find a man. They are getting married in July. I really hope the baby is okay. She is obviously high risk due to her age. It is hard knowing that her baby will be due only a couple of weeks after we will be having IVF. I know that is going to be a very difficult time for me anyway.

Another friend has just get her first fertility specialist appointment booked for May. She is also a bit older so time is ticking. She is desperate for a child after an ectopic a year and a half ago. She is definitely approaching things in a more laid back manner. Only just started using OPKs recently!

It is interesting to think about how different my state of mind about things would be if we hadn't been going through this struggle. I don't think I would be nearly so compassionate. Experience is a great teacher!

It's not normal, nor abnormal! With my son, my levels were over 33,000 at only 5 weeks! But he was a healthy singleton! They're checking to see if it's AT LEAST doubling! Tripling is even better! Super stoked for you! Sending you lots of and wishing you a very
