Ls- I turn 40 on September 3 so I don't really have the time to wait and save up the money. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that and we will get our BFP next cycle

@Basia - yay!!!!

Thanks, ladies! I'm nervous about the meds and finances involved in IVF. If I come around on the meds and can come up with the money then we may do it. I am hoping to get more information after this Friday.

Now I am also just waiting to hear back on our grant application. They confirmed receipt, so now it will just be a few more weeks until we find out. They said 6-8 weeks, so I'm guessing we will know by the end of July.

While- what is the story on the grants? Can anyone get them? I found out yesterday that my RE will do 3 IUI's and if they fail then he talks about advanced options so I feel like this might be our last IUI and we just can't afford IVF.

Girls - I want to thank you all for the good wishes and your support

AFM - I feel good today. I must say I feel better then I did with first IVF. I really hope that I will not get the OHSS like I did last time (it was a mild case but it still sucked). Don't know if it is the acupuncture or what but something helped :D Now we wait to hear when will the transfer happen and how many eggs were mature/fertilized.
I had 2 more eggs then I did last time but last time on the day of the transfer we only had 1 embryo ready - we had 11 fertilized eggs on day #1 but then something just happened that they did not make it.
Praying that more embryoes will make it this time.

Basia, Excited to hear how many you had mature and fertilize! Hears to have many grow well and happy transfer!!

AF reared her ugly head last night just several hours after the clinic called to let me know they too show I am not pregnant. We also found out that insurance has yet to pay their part from the first cycle so they will not approve us to move into another cycle unless we pay cash up front. I understand they have to protect themselves but geesh! Cut a woman some slack here!

With that said, looks like I'm starting BC for cycle two today. Praying this one results in a much better outcome and I refuse to let any negativity into this cycle :)

Basia - I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better this time around. When will you find out how many fertilized? I really hope that you get a bunch that make it. Are you still doing a day 5 transfer?

BabyPath - I'm sorry AF showed. At least you weren't waiting long for her. I hope your insurance company gets their act together soon and pays. It's silly, and frustrating I'd imagine, that they haven't. Good luck starting cycle 2. I really hope you get your BFP at the end of it.
