1stbaby, sorry to hear of your struggles, i too am about to start IVF but luckily its subsidised here in Australia so its not going to cost too much

aroma, just keep plugging away!! you are right, no sense strssing as that just makes it worse so get that appointment sorted!

elle, anything? is it worth requesting a blood test to make sure? are you still doing OPKS? I ask because just because you had a surge before, doesnt mean you ovulated so maybe you get another surge later which gives you a late ovulation and thus the longer cycle?

bumble, pain is your friend! but while I wish you luck, i dont wish for all 5 to fertilise! that will just be crazy!!! but then cant imagine doing reductions either, so hope it works out well.

AFM, home now from holiday. was nice to get away but the rain and sickness wasn't good! neither was getting my period on cd26 which is lateish for me and got our hopes up, to then get cramps and period then find out my mate is preg!! happy for her but sucky timing for me!

Saw the specialist on tuesday and turns out i have low ovarian reserves which means my ovaries are older than me and a symptom of that is my shorter cycles (short cycles dont encourage low reserves, just the other way around). So low reserves, endometriosis and one fallopian tube means our chances naturally are quite low. so onto IVF I go! started the paperwork for this cycle as i start on nasal spray on CD21 but because i will ovulate as normal next week, we are still going ahead with the IUI this cycle. I can start on the spray and then if it turns out the IUI works i just come off the spray. If not, keep on the spray and on a certain CD in the next cycle i start on injectable hormones to over stimulate my ovaries for collection, day surgery to collect them all (freeze the spares) fertilise one egg straight away with either fresh sample if he is home or frozen ones if he is away, 3-5 days fertilisation then implanted back into me and wait two weeks!! She will only do 1 for the first few trys but can be convinced to implant two later down the track. so we will just see.

am i doing anything different? well I didnt have any energy drinks while I was away, only had a small one yesterday because i was about to fall asleep in my chair but no desire for any more, i am trying to keep my calories to 1200 using myfitnesspal.com and app, but also, have started Green July (couldnt do it while on holiday!) which is all about drinking green smoothies every day to increase fruit and veg in take. Its on an australian blog but people all over the world are doing it!! take a look...

i think its an alternative to dry july which is hard to do if you dont really drink anyway!

my first two smoothies were purple because i added in some frozen bluberries that needed eating but my first one was banana, apple juice, pear, blueberries and baby spinach.

today's smoothie is acutally green! Apple, pear, celery, lettuce and english spinach. no juice just water and its not too bad! just trying to think about all the goodness i am drinking! and its a smoothie not juice so everything just gets chucked into a blender so i get the fibre which you dont get with juices.

Afm- we werent trying this month and we didn't even bd on the day I was expected to ovulate but I'm 5dpo and my boobs are sore and I'm cramping like mad. I figure my period is coming early.

I got a job in security and had an interview for a desk job Tuesday. Turns out they called my references so I think I might get that one too. I'd rather the desk job. It's more suited to my career goals and aptitude. Crossing my fingers.

Well I'm 3 day's late but 2 tests showed up neg not sure whats going on being that I have had crazy symptoms since 4dpo and haven't stopped yet.... Feel like hiding out a few days!!

well af is here right on time (26) days. like i said im not stressing about it, it is a bit heavier and clotty this month as i gyess because of the hsg. i just don't get it i had sex day 10 day 12 and day 14, day 12 would have been ovulation and i still ain't catching the egg (booooo). oh well im gonna give my self the weekend then phone on monday as its my day off. guess i need some drugs lol.. another beautiful day here and i gotta work oh well such is life..

AFM, Still no news on my Dad they are driving us mad, they just seem to want to do loads of tests yet they are not giving him any results, its been 6 weeks now and we are still none the wiser!!!!!

DH and I have gone on a healthy eating kick to try and lose some weight, we are taking a break from ttc for a couple of months (purely because we have so many April babies in our household already), so hopefully it will kickstart our bodies in to getting pregnant!!!

My best friend announced her second pregnancy today, I am very happy for her but also very jealous, makes it very hard, my heart always breaks a little bit more everytime I hear someone close is pregnant, but I know you girls all understand where I am coming from.

Hi ladies! I'm wondering if it's a bit too late to join this thread. I've read all 10 pages of it and I feel like I know you all already! (Apparently I have some time on my hands today.) So, about me: I'm 32 and my DH is 33. I have a DS (10) and a DD (5). I had Mirena for 5 years and got it out May 31 along with a unilateral Ooph. No signs of cancer, PCOS or ENDO, just cysts. Anyway, this is my 1st month TTC and I'm currently 6 dpo (I think) I've been having lots of symptoms of early pregnancy, bloating, achy/dull paing in abd. and worst of all, all the time and moody! My poor DH. He doesn't have any kids and is SO anxious to have one of his own. We on all the right days and then some. (Oh, I need to add that I did have a heavy ish at the end of June.

This TWW is driving me nuts! I'm really hoping to get a next week when I test.

All that said, I'm also VERY nervious about TTC because of my recent history. I wonder if I'm being silly thinking I have early symptoms.

AFM - Had my u/s today but wont get the results till Aug 1st when I see my doc.... gonna be a scary visit cause they did blood work as well as the u/s to check for issues, all is good & healthy. He looks good though, and the tech verified that he is most definitely a HE! lol
