BYOB: Hoping for some summer bfps!

Hi ladies!!

Lets start things off as usual.... with an introduction/update!

My name is Joy
DH and I are both 29
we've been together just over 10yrs
Got married and bought a house together in 2009
From Canada
I'm currently a housewife, but hope to soon be a stay at home mom

I got pg back in the summer of 2010 then m/c'd at 8 weeks
We ttc for 8 cycles after the m/c, (10 months)
We have a nursery room all set up waiting for baby

I got a BFP on June 30th 2011
Had a missed m/c on Aug 18th 2011
Since then I have been rushed to the hospital 3 times for excessive bleeding (once via ambulance cause I passed out)
I have had 2 emergency D&C's, 2 Folley Ballooons, 3 blood transfusions of 2 bags each, & a Hysteroscopey. (Not to be confused with a "HysterECTAMY")

I Finally got back to TTC in Jan/Feb 2012 and on March 21st I got my BFP!
I am currently 14 weeks 3 days pregnant!
My first ob/gyn apt was Wed April 4th 2012
He put me on progestrone and asked to see me in 2 weeks
My next apts were April 19th 2012 & May 3rd
At our May 3rd apt (at 9 weeks5 days) we heard the best sound ever - our little one's heartbeat!!
We went for our 1st non-diagnostic u/s on May 15th and saw our little ones heartbeat & he or she was VERY active!
Had another dr apt on May 22nd and heard the heartbeat again!
Next apt is June 21st... my diagnostic u/s is July 13th
We will be going for a non-diagnostic u/s around the end of June/Beginning of July so dh can see our little peanut before he leaves on his trip.
My due date is Dec 1st 2012!

This is truly an amazing group of ladies & I really hope our string of luck (& bfps) continues!! ladies!

xx
Joy

Hi everyone,

I didn 't go through all the posts. Just wanted to give you an update.

I had my surgery today. I'm sore but the pain is very manageable. I did not have good news post op though.

The gyno started with a dye test to see how blocked I was. Turns out they're not completely blocked but it's pretty bad. I also learned that I have stage 4 endometriosis which is the worst. It's so bad, that my tubes are bending backwards behind my uterus and my ovaries are touching each other. He called it 'kissing ovaries". So I have to go to a specialist to decide what to do. The chances of us conceiving on our own are pretty much non-existent. Our only option is IVF. Since my endo is severe, he said the government might give us a grant to pay for 2 or 3 rounds. I also have endometrioma, which is chocolate colored cysts which will need to be removed. So all in all, I'm in bad shape

I'm really hoping we can do IVF and it' successful. I don't care if we end up with twins or triplets since it'll probably be the only chance we have to have a family.

for us, we need all the help we can get!
Cris

Soooooo yesterday and no sign as of yet today But I'm not getting my hopes up to much, had two neg tests yesterday but just like Waiting it could still be a bit early for me. I also have spent a good bit of time praying to God for his blessing on a baby in our life!! He is in total control and makes no mistakes . I usually start between 28-30 days never over that. Still have the same symptoms, although my boobs hurt worse now!! Keep you're for me!!

1stbaby im so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. im there iwth you i had stage 3 endo. i cannot afford ivf so we went in and did surgery to unblock the tubes and it worked for now.. i did manage to get pg after being on the lupron but lost it at 5 1/2 weeks.. i still keep trying i have to phone the f.s. sometime this week so we can go onto the next step in this journey.. im thinking about you and understand the endo. it sucks for sure... its not an easy thing to deal with as you just can't take a pill and it will go away, it just comes back with every period you have. if you can afford ivf go for it..

afm still no af whch is odd as an average cycle for me is 22-25 days. im waiting for her cuz i know she will rear her ugly face. i think the hsg screwed up my cycle this time around so now its the waiting game, and murphys law will be now that i mentioned her not being here yetshe will loom her face probably today or tomorrow

Hi ladies!

Kristine - I really hope af stays away hun!

Alisha - Fingers crossed for you!!

Elle - Did you test this am?

Cris - Oh sweetie I am so sorry for all your bad news!! Keeping my that you can get the IVF and get pregnant right away!!

Bumble - That is so frustrating... you would think people would have some compassion and find a babysitter or something. It just makes things even more difficult for people who are struggling for their 1st.

AFM - Just waiting for my u/s on Friday to see how big baby and my fibroid are measuring. Really nervous about the fibroid... this will be the first time it's been measured since my last m/c. Really hope its not gonna cause problems!!

xx Joy

Hey ladies!!

Elle, I'm sorry about the bfn. I hope AF shows soon so you can get on with it all!

Joy, can the fibroid affect the baby? Ive herd they don't matter much after conception but that's just word of mouth, nothing from a doctor. I hope it doesn't hurt you! Good Luck!

Aroma, I think my HSG messed with my cycle when I had it done too.

Alisha, Good Luck! I hope you get your BFP!

1stbabytry, Hopefully you can get the grants for IVF. I knowi its hard after hearing all that bad news, but try to stay as positive as you can.

AFM, I guess I ovulated yesteday. IUI was Monday so hopefully that wasn't too much of a time difference. But DH and I made sure to BD as soon as he got home yesterday. For me, ovulation usually hurts when I release one egg. This cycle I released at least four maybe five eggs and WHOOOO was it painful! Dang! I am hoping we hit the nail on the head with at least one of these eggs. I am so exhausted from all this TTC BS!!

Me: Alicia (29) ~ DH: Patrick (29) TTC #1 Since August 2009 with PCOS 1st & 2nd (March & May 2012) IUI Cycles w/ Clomid = BFN's 6/24/12 - 3rd IUI cycle w/ Gonal-F and Lupron. IUI on 7/9. TWINS! Born 2/11/13 Back on the NTNP train as of September 2013 hoping for a boy someday!

Hi ladies!

bumble - Yay for O-ing, hope you catch that eggie this time! As for the fibroid, if they grow too much during pregnancy they can cause complications. Totally depends on size & location. It could just mean that I may have to do a c-section rather than vag. birth. We will see when I go for my apt.

Elle - So sorry about the bfn sweetie. Hope af shows quickly so you can move on with the next (hopefully lucky) cycle!

xx Joy

started spotting this morning and some cramping, so out this month, oh well, i have come to the conclusion that theres no sense in stressing and thinking about it as it probably won't happen on its own, so monday i will call the f.s. and try to get an app..

Hi ladies,

Thanks for your encouragement! Hearing that we cold get a grant gave me hope, so I haven't given up yet. I still have a long journey ahead of me before I can hold a baby in my arms and that's what's hard. I'm tired of waiting. I know I have many ups and downs to face, but I have a great supportive husband who encourages me to see the good side of everything and not to lose hope.

I most likely won't be posting much on here, or keeping up with everyone. I wish you all the best and I hope that by the time I check back here, many of you, if not all of you will have graduated to CMP.

Best of luck to you all in your journeys!

Cris
