Thinking Positive Buddy Group
Hi ladies! A few of us who supported eachother in the tww leading up to Sept 5 wanted to continue the encouragement and support we felt at the end of Aug - beginning of Sept.
A few of us got a BFP (yay!) and a few of us are gearing up for POAS again (OPKs). Check in regularly so we can all celebrate the joys and support each other through the harder times.

tc - I agree that what I really need is a fertility specialist, but that's not the way things work in the military. If the clomid doesn't work and I need something more, the OB will send me off post to an Okinawan fertility specialist. Hopefully I won't have to do that, but I will if it's necessary!
I hope you get your cycles get straightened out. Trust me, I know what it's like to have cycles out of whack!
CD 9 today. Not expecting anything at all to come of this cycle, if the doctor gives me provera I'll start taking it right away to start a new cycle (13 or so days after I start taking it!). I don't want to wait another 60 or 70 days for a new cycle to start naturally!!

I o'd after all, on CD17... so there I am back to hoping for my natural miracle BFP again...
@dragon: After reading tons about it on the internet, I took a chance this month and took soy iso from CD3-7 this month. Apparently it works like Clomid sans the side effects of it... Maybe it's worth looking into it!
Apparently, you take it like clomid, but you have to double the dose (i.e. 50mg of clomid = 100mg of soy isoflavones). Lots of women also stagger it (increasing the dose from day one to day five). I did
CD3 = 50 mg (cause I didn't read the label properly)
CD4 = 100 mg
Cd 5 = 100 mg
CD 6 = 100 mg
CD 7 = 150 mg
I guess, I could have taken even a little more per dose, but I was too chicken and figured I try with lower doses first. I am not sure what it did (except delay O for me, even though it should do the opposite), but the thing is that it is actually more for women with irregular or long cycles with no O. Then it should bring on O (earlier). However, I seem to have o'd now after all. If your doc does not give you anything to bring on O, try the soy iso. Just goole it (TTC with soy iso...)

Well, I saw my new doctor on Tuesday. I like her a lot! After a lot of discussion, we decided that I'm going to start Clomid in late April/early May. The wait is partly because my husband has to go back to the States for schooling (Army stuff) mid-March to mid-April, and part because I want to lose a bit of weight before getting pregnant. It's more about getting healthy habits in place than losing weight, but losing some weight will help out a lot in the long run of pregnancy. I know pregnancy will make me gain (duh!) but if I start out a bit lighter the extra weight will take less of a toll on my body.
So...a break. Which is very good, I think. I think I may even stop temping for awhile. I'll still temp when I wake up, but not set an alarm so I do it at the same time every day. It'll be nice to wake up on my own for a little while!
And, strangely, I feel more confident than ever that I'll be pregnant soon! I think the removal of stress is already helping my mindset. :)

Hey dragon,
great to hear that you finally made some progress...!! Losing weight and getting healthy seems like a good intermediate milestone in reaching your goal!
AFM... Looks like AF is knocking at the door. Today I had a weird temp spike, but I think that is only related to the fact that I used the progesterone cream late last night before I went to bed, so I guess it was still in my system this morning (apparently it stays in your system for 12 hours). Other signs (or their non-existence) point to AF at the gate :((((
I will keep trying one or two more cycles while I am taking the DHEA, before I will take my last attempt at IVF with my own eggs sometime in spring.
@Jenny... how are things with you girl?

Hi Jenny,
congratulations on the weight loss, this is awesome!!
I am still in the waiting period for my next and last IVF. I tried soy isoflavones this cycle and the last. It does not seem to have the desired effect for me but rather seems to delay or prevent my ovulation. I am currently CD13 and not sign of O. Last cycle I o'd on CD17 (for me CD13/14 would be normal).
I have an appointment with a new RE on March 1. I am hoping that this time it may work, that my eggs may be better due to the supplements like the Q10 and the DHEA.
Sigh.
Babydust to you girls.

So I pretty much feel like things are never going to move forward!
The good bit is that I'm (very slowly) losing weight. I just have to keep working at it, I know I'll get there eventually. It's hard, though!
The bad bit is Jeff is now going to be gone from March 15-May 15. So our chance to get pregnant doesn't come until May!! Or even June, depending on when we get to the doctor. Ugh!
I still have hope, but I sure am getting tired of waiting!!
Hope all is well...

Hey dragonflymama...
so sorry to hear about the waiting period. Still, on the upside, you have some more time to lose weight and be healthy to get ready for the next baby... :)
I am in TTC cycle #10 and this cycle seems different symptom-wise. I am honestly getting hopeful this time, I have a feeling this could be our month. I know I have thought this so many times before, but I somehow can't shake the feeling that I could actually see two lines this time around. Would be so ironic though - we have an appointment with our new RE scheduled for next Thursday... by this time I should know whether it's BFP or BFN...
Cross your fingers for me!!

Thanks dragonfly... Guss I got excited for nothing again. Temp dropped today and boobs feel less sore. I almost feel cheated by my body. I "feel" like imlantation is happening for a few days and then-snap- all gone... Sigh. Figure the witch will show in a couple of days or so...
